Um...whats your source for that one?

I suspect that's nearer $50K/yr to lease, if that.

Now when you crumple one into an oversized ball of foil and have to pay for it because you were street racing, that's less wise. But at that point it's the street racing that was poorly considered.

Leased at over $1700 per day

Okay - that's not a lease.

If you're calculating it by the day, that's a rental.

I'm not sure what renting a Lamborghini has to do with buying a corvette (which was the argument previously being had) but hey, you go on patting yourself on the back, bud.

If there were in fact street racing, then Texas can seize the cars.

you're right, that's a great way to spend your money from the first year of your rookie contract when the average career in the NFL is 3.3 years

who

cares?

Sure, it's stupid, just like wearing expensive shoes or gold chains or whatever. But why would we care? I only care about the racing because it impacts innocents and potentially impacts the Chiefs' on-field product that I consume.

He’s just trying to cover for his ridiculous thought that Rice couldn’t afford his 80k Corvette.

cmh6476 04-03-2024 09:33 AM

ok.

Yeup.

Keep on movin' those goalposts, CMH.

Nobody said that Rashee Rice was a financial wizard. Only that the idea that the guy couldn't afford a friggen Corvette on his mere $2.5 million in 2023 earnings is asinine.

Still is.

Keep your mouth shut; hire the best legal representation you can afford whatever they tell you to say and say nothing else.

When I worked for the military they told us that if you encounter the police or any law enforcement and dont fully cooperate you can be fired. We gave up a lot of freedoms to do that work. Thats the tradeoff you make when signing all those conduct papers.

We always wondered if that was legal.

Waiting for legal representation before making a statement isn't "not cooperating"

Touché, but given the circumstances, you'd think everybody would be happy that this isn't nearly as bad as it could've been, and Rice willl be fine.

Instead, everybody wants to make it a bigger deal than it is.

Yes it was. They had us locked down.
One tech who had been there for 10 years and was in middle management has some kind of domestic dispute that happened at midnight or so. When I came on my shift at 6:00 am, he was already fired.

Yes, it was a rental, and he likely had to pay for the added insurance coverage in that daily fee. He's not paying that much a year when you can buy a new one for $270k.

suzzer99 04-03-2024 10:28 AM

$270k for a Ford Escape with some fancy red padding in the interior.

LMAO... overpriced, sure, but not not in the same universe as a shitty ford escape.
