Could’ve either forced the game to happen or forced a Bills forfeit.

Absolutely, it would have been a forfeit had CIN chose to retake the field. They didn't, this is the result.

This game isn't resuming next week unless the NFL pushes back the start of the Playoffs. That's not fair to any Playoff team.

This game will be officially cancelled soon.

Lots of “the Chiefs are backing into the 1 seed”.

Uhhh…Chiefs were the 1 seed as of kickoff. The Bills were losing on the road to a top 3 AFC team. You’d have to think practically any projection would have the Bills losing that game based on how it started.

I think there was at least a 50% chance of a Buffalo loss. Cincy’s offense looked unstoppable and they had the home crowd. The most fair approach is for them to play that game. But it seems like they don’t want to do that.

Chiefs would draw the lowest remaining seed in the Divisional Round, which couldn’t be the 2 or 3.

Do what? Dude, if the Chiefs lose their 1st playoff game there is nothing preventing a Buffalo vs. Cinci playoff.

When I worked in a warehouse we had an old guy die in the middle of the shift.

We just propped him up weekend at Bernie style and he held our drinks between breaks.

Great holder. Townsend could take notes.

Chiefs have risen from 50 years of no SB appearance to the most hated team in the span of three years.

What? The 2-3 would play if they both won...

absolutely hilarious

either cincy or buffalo gnashes teeth for 9 months over beating us in the regular season and never getting the chance to make it stick in the postseason LMAO

If the Chiefs are the 1 seed, the. Cinci and Buffalo can’t play in the AFCCG if they’re the 2/3. They can only play each other in the divisional round.

Chiefs would have the bye in the Wild Card Round.
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

Divisional Round:
Chiefs vs lowest seed who wins in the Divisional Round (can’t be higher than the 4 seed)
The other two winning teams from the Wild Card Round would also play

The 2 and 3 couldn’t play in the AFCCG, because if the both win in the Wild Card Round they would then play in the Divisional Round.

Correct. His post said he thinks they’ll play in the AFCCG. They would play in the Divisional Round.

You can't play three games in one week. Let alone the third game would be a Playoff game against a team that had a full week of rest.

Well obviously they should have played the game this week, but that isn't an option now because the NFL decided to allow a single team to dictate their entire AFC postseason schedule. This alternative is the best one left.

So basically the NFL rigged the playoffs for the chiefs?

I mean they should have already played it and they chose to not do it. They could also go with moving the playoffs by a week.

Given it sounds like the Bengals have been fully on board with not resuming this week this is the only thing that makes sense. Bills lose a chance at one seed but that could have been the case no matter what by their game. The Bengals and Ravens get a bit screwed as well but the Ravens probably had no chance of winning without Jackson anyways. Those hoping for a Patriots loss aren’t as happy depending on what the Bills but again that could have been the situation anyways. But I’m guessing Bills might play anyways.

Two Bills Drive taking this well.
