Try gaine

Wheaton was a superior prospect to Lockett coming out of college.

You know NOW that Lockett turned out better, but at the TIME, Pittsburgh thought Wheaton could replace Sanders.

I’ve said it before. Look what Pederson did for his young 2nd year stud QB. Did he stand pat with Agholor and Green-Beckham and hope that Wentz could take them to the next level??? **** no! He went out added Alshon and Torrey Smith. There is no reason why the #2 WR spot shouldn’t be an area of focus for KC and Mahomes this offseason.

This.

I like Chris Connelly, but the more time goes by the more I think he's a combine warrior (even though he looked to be on pace for a solid season last year before that freak Achilles injury). I'm certainly not against a FA WR coming in here, I just think we should keep focusing on remaking the defense before we go chasing wide receivers.

Veach has said he's going to be aggressive.

I certainly hope that "aggressive" doesn't mean settling for the 4th/5th best option that really doesn't give us much over what's on the roster.

This is just flat out false and subjective. They were both 3rd round picks.

We need to sign or draft a WR regardless of where one stands on the matter.

And whoever that player is, they need to be capable of starting as we are losing Wilson.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that if the Chiefs cut Hali and Bailey as expected, they'll have between $30-35M in cap space, plus their draft picks.

No reason why they can't use both to improve both sides of the ball.

Speaking of subjective, aren't you the guy saying Richardson is Emmanuel Sanders?

I didn’t say he is Emmanuel Sanders.

I was simply saying he reminds me of him. Your initial argument as to why he’s not is just bad because you could’ve said the same exact thing about Sanders, hence my comparison.

Agreed. Maybe I'm focusing too much on what the defense needs and/or giving Kemp and Dieter too much credit (possibly Mahomes, as well). I absolutely would not be upset if they did bring in a Watkins or Robinson. Hopefully they will be able to fill as many holes as they can if your scenario happens.

This.

So, should we be targeting the elite option who has started 40 games in 3 seasons, the gamebreaker who has started 51 games in 4 seasons, or the lesser option who has started 13 games in the last 3 years?

PS: The two elite options are a year younger than the lesser option.

They didn’t have jack shit for Wentz in 2016.

I wouldn’t be pissed about spending $5-6 million on a receiver like Paul Richardson or Albert Wilson. That’s what the Eagles did bringing in Torrey Smith. I really don’t want to spend twice that much or more on a receiver like Watkins or Robinson.

Chiefs don’t need more star power on offense. They need it on defense.

Torrey Smith
Albert Wilson
Paul Richardson

One of these things is not like the others.

AND they went out and got Alshon.

staylor26 03-11-2018 11:14 AM

Yea, Torrey Smith was clearly on the decline while the other 2 guys aren’t.

OnTheWarpath15 03-11-2018 11:14 AM

The Chiefs lost 4 games (of 7 total) where the defense gave up an average of 17.25 points.

But sure, the offense is fine and we need all that star power on defense.

They have the money and draft capital to do both.
