You can’t pussy out on every single signing because a guy “might” get hurt.
Right now this is a giant bitchfest because of Berry and Houston.

And Houston shouldn’t really count. He’s still elite vs the run and has 12.5 sacks in his last 19 games.

Meh. We've been just fine winning games without him so far and we beat the Chargers and Steelers already.

That defense namely a safety being out of position all the time will cost this team a game sooner or later.

Unless you think Berry is ****ed beyond repair (which the Chiefs don't) that's going to be taken care of soon.

Simply Red 09-26-2018 09:37 AM

so are you guys indicating we won't be able to do anything w/ ET until around trade deadline? Or do you feel something could still get done, soon? I'm not overly familiar w/ the flow of these things, admittedly.

Same here. I fully expect to live to be a hundred and still not see them in a Super Bowl.

No I’m just certain your post was a bunch of pompous horseshit which is standard for you.

Definitely true.

Either way, I don't see how the Chiefs can afford Earl without renegotiating existing contracts.

FAX

Sorry FAX, I just can't get on board with it.

Now if Speaks or KPass suddenly blows up and gives me at least some feeling these guys know how to draft defense, fine.

But right now, to me, those picks are largely worthless outside of using them to get Thomas.

Something could get done at any time.

It's all going to depend on the Seahawks figuring out that they're going to have to lower their price. If they wait too long, they're going to screw themselves.

I do have a hooded sweatshirt that reads "Just one before I die".

Youngster. :)

I have no problem giving up a 2 and maybe a 3 IF, and only if, he's here for 3-4 years and doesn't kill our cap money. This discussion started by giving up whatever for a rental vs. whatever for a long term, high money contract. I'm sorry, I just don't see this team in the SB THIS year, let alone win it. Add a couple more pieces next year (CB and Ragland replacement) and yes, now you have a pretty young team that can be a contender for years. I don't want 1 SB win, I want 3 or 4.

They're better off getting him out of that locker room right now. That's just my opinion though.

Side-note (nothing to do w/ this conversation) but rather an observation being 15 ft from him.

Kpass looks like the meanest player on our team and he towers over other players in height. He gave me a very dirty look.

Big 3rd contracts just turn catastrophic so many times.

I'm not a fan of giving them out.

He's 6'7" or something like that. Probably as good a reason as any, he'll never be a solid edge rusher.
