As far as the Cards, I would be disappointed if they lost, but they've gotten this far with Peter Kozma at shortstop, Beltran with a bad knee, Holliday a bad back, and a manager that seems lost in the moment. I'm proud of this team no matter what, and I certainly respect this Giants team.

This!

The Giants have earned our respect.

Cubs fans are the worst....and I don't feel bad for them and their decades (century) of bad luck either because the Cubs fans that I am around deserve it.

Like DJ said in a vacuum yeah great year nothing to be upset about.

But when you have a team on the ropes and a chance to deliver a knock out blow at home you damn well better do it. You most certainly don't fall apart at the plate on the mound and in the field like they have done.

This was supposed to be a veteran experienced team. Finish this shit off

I've never been there, so honestly, I probably shouldn't run my trap.... My perception has been molded by the first things I think of when I hear about SF which are; Full House, hippies, Kenny Powers's prejudiced comments about SF at the first part of the first episode, the South Park "smug" episode and how everything we covered in an Alternative Lifestyles course in college was always somehow connected to San Francisco.

I hopped on towards the end of the Holtz era. Growing up, ND was good and watching football with my dad and my grandpa generally revolved around ND being good. My dad tended to root for OU, my grandpa rooted for anyone from the B1G.

They never really rooted for ND, I just knew they were supposed to win. Then suddenly they weren't winning very often and that just didn't seem right to me. So I started rooting for ND to win.

Then came Bob Davie. I've rarely been as angry with anyone as I was when Davie decided it would be brilliant to send a sellout blitz against Michigan State while leading by more than a FG and having your opponent pinned inside their own 20 with about a minute left in the game. I hate you Bob Davie. Oh how I hate you.

As I went off to college (that wasn't ND), the Domers took on a clear second fiddle status to Mizzou. That said, I'll still root for them over anyone else because by God, college football is better when Notre Dame has that bullseye on their back.
