Never said the Cardinals were lucky. I just question what good is replay for even when there's evidence to suggest the call on the field was wrong and it isn't overturned?

Cubs have benefited from calls at homeplate in the playoffs because of that. You may recall the bang bang play at the plate when I think it was Gonzalez running for the Dodgers and he was called out because he hand was "hovering" over the plate.

like the announcers said, if he’d been called safe, it would have stood. Either way.

This is a baseball replay. They really need irrefutable conclusive evidence to overturn a call. That just wasn’t there.

Its just not conclusive enough to make call outside of the guy standing right there. Its a non issue.

They lost the game at the top of the 9th not the bottom.
