It's McDermott's to lose.

I mean short of him getting arrested with a dead hooker in his trunk he's already won it.

I agree to an extent. But, FVV is really, really good and the kid is only a sophomore.

I figured Early or Baker would be nominated before he was.

The real question that we should be worrying about is how many Smart flops help his team tonight.

Clinched the 1 seed in the big 12 tourney

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 10:59 PM

Lunardi still has KU as the #1 even after that loss if you care about that sort of thing. Their overall body of work has been that good. I say resting Embiid is more important than working hard for that, though.

So let's recap what happened today:

-We won the B12 out-right.
-Clinched the #1 seed in the B12 tourney.
-Moved up to a #1 seed in the big dance.

-Lost our game.

Makes sense.... LOL

I'm ok with resting him until 68. I care more about winning a NC than these meaningless two games and conference tournament.

I don't think KU is a #1 over Syracuse. Limp on home and get ready to be a #2.

Who does he have as the #1's? I don't really think KU is deserving of a 1 but if they give it to us I'll take it.

Why does Syracuse deserve it over Virginia? They're the ones that won the ACC.

Silock 03-01-2014 11:38 PM

How can you put Syracuse as a #1 over KU when they didn't even win the ACC?

Zona, Florida, Wichita, KU. You can say KU doesn't deserve it, but I'm not sure why they deserve it any less than teams like Syracuse, Duke, Villanova, or Virginia. Their overall resume is better than those teams and they shouldn't be penalized for playing a ridiculous schedule.

A number one seed with 7 losses. Has that ever happened before? I'd rather have them go in as a two seed though.

IIRC, MSU was a 1 seed in '11 with 9 losses.

Indiana had 6 last year as a #1.
