Tuesday was the only realistic day they could have got the rest of that game in. When that option was gone, the chances that this game would be resumed were about nil.

Well, it might be possible to do it if you only had to move the dates of 5 of the games, and none of the NFC games. Maybe.

But yeah, i get you. It would be nearly impossible to pull off, logistically. Just Schefter said the NFL official that he spoke to told him that the league was spooked by that game, and would 'prefer to pretend that it never happened.'

That just struck me as wild.

That's a problem for us. We'd be lucky to if BUF clips CIN in the Playoffs. CIN is the better team. Bills getting home field in the rematch may be their only shot at beating them.

Not so wild. They're a bunch of out of touch billionaires who are protecting their business interests.

None of them want the NFL associated with athletes suddenly dying during a game. They swept it under the rug.

Fascinating.

KC wins this weekend they’ll get the one seed.

Which is another reason to stop being cowards and push forward and make a final decision. The longer the focus is off the football itself, the worse the continued discourse is for the NFL.

1. Rip it away from the Bills? They’re currently not the 1 seed. Any change that benefits the Bills is ripping it away from the Chiefs.
2. The bye isn’t decided by who needs it most. It’s decided by who is the 1 seed.
3. Why should the Raiders have a game canceled? What did they do?

Nope, the players would be so hesitant to tackle anyone. Thus, it'll be grab ass flag football

Reminds me of this scene in Concussion.

if they decided to go with that dumb afc playoff bye, cincy beats buffalo in week 19 and we beat the Raiders on Saturday, we would then have a 2-week bye.

Cincy offense is a problem for everyone, haha.

I think the Chiefs can beat anyone, but they need a pretty flawless performance from the offense & special teams. Can't have fumbles/INT's or missed field goals. Unfortunately both of those mistakes have happened a lot this season, including a fumble & missed FG in the 4th quarter against Cincy.
