Hahaha

You're on our board, talking mad shit. And come Monday, we'll never hear from you again.

Until maybe next year, but probably not.

You guys have had a magical season. Will it be enough?

Maybe. We can't win every year. But we've won it all twice in four, and gotten to the SB three of four.

This is the best shot you're going to have for a long time.

For us, this is just another season.

Also suggesting that a guy is in the GOAT conversation while also explaining away how a loss as acceptable is incongruent. If he’s the GOAT, he wins this game. He beats the DVOA darlings with the MVP in their house. If he doesn’t win that game, it matters. As a non-Chiefs fan, I’ll tell you right now that I won’t think of him the way people here want me to. Because people here aren’t saying he’s very good—they’re saying he is the greatest to ever do it. Then prove it no matter the circumstances.

If you construct a mid roster and the baby goat loses, you’re not who people on this board are telling me you are. You don’t have the Pats’ cache, not even close. You might think you’re “on track,” but you’re not there just as much as no one here will give credit to Lamar/the Ravens for being “on track” for a Super Bowl when it’s all said and done. You have to actually do it in games like this. Defend your title.

Spinning this narrative that this game is a win/win for the Chiefs should be beneath you if you think these guys are who you say they are.

After Brady won 3 Super Bowls in his first 4 years, he lost back to back years in divisional round (2005) and AFC Title Game (2006). He was 12-2 in playoffs in his first 6 years starting.

Mahomes is 13-3 in his first 6 years in playoffs (with possibly another game to go?) Has been to 3 Super Bowls (so far), 2-1. Has never NOT appeared in AFC Title Game (better than Brady). Has never missed the playoffs (like Brady in 2002). Mahomes is 3-2 in AFC Title Games so far (same as Brady), one more to go on Sunday.

It's funny to see Ravens fans on here act like 'well, if Mahomes loses on Sunday, he'll never be the GOAT or catch Brady'.

He's literally right there with Brady RIGHT NOW. If he wins Sunday, he'll be ahead of him. If he loses, he'll be barely behind him. And then he's got another 8 years to catch up with what it took Brady till he was 36 to accomplish. Reminder, Mahomes is 28.

So this trying to reverse the tables that Mahomes legacy is the 'one on the line' come Sunday is absolutely ludricous. His legacy is established. He is a first ballot HOFer if he retired TODAY. The ONLY question for him at this point is can he catch Brady over the long haul (in trophies), cause he likely will surpass him in every other category (barring injury).

Lamar Jackson's 'legacy' is CLEARLY the one on the line this Sunday. And two Sundays after that! Not only does he have to beat Mahomes to establish he's not a playoff reerun, he has to win the Super Bowl 2 weeks later to prove he belongs in the Top Tier QB convo.

If he doesn't, then he becomes a more athletic version of Ken Anderson.

And whether he has 'staying power' or longevity remains to be seen. Can he do it again next year?

Lots of questions surrounding Lamar . . . . . . . . . not Mahomes.

Heck if Cincy or Cleveland didn’t lose their starting QB’s to season ending injuries they might have won the division.

Joe Burrow has shredded the Ravens fraudulent defense in recent years.

I dunno, Bengals defense had a major step down this season compared to 2022. They were a pretty awesome defense in 2021 and 2022, especially in the Playoffs where they never allowed more than 24 points against some pretty explosive offenses such as the Rams, Bills, and Chiefs.

The Browns are a tricky one. Is Deshaun Watson any good these days while healthy? I'm not sure. Even while fully healthy, I am not sure Deshaun is anywhere near the same player he was in Houston. The backup QB's for Cleveland seemed to do a solid job. I'm not sure how much better Deshaun would have been.

35,000 posts in . . . . . . . 20 years.

You've posted nearly 200 posts in basically 5 days. Extrapolating that out over a year comes out to 14,600 posts.

Do you wanna multiply that by 20??

Anyone calling Lamar Jackson a "savant" for his ability to read a defense is drunk on purple Kool-aid. It's one thing to say that if you're his coach. Downright delusional if you're falling for that as a Ravens fan.

My bad.

(*Correcting for accuracy*)

On pace for 35K posts . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . in one year.

No need to multiply by 20 now.

Whut? No one's saying that, are they? Lamar isn't Brady/Manning; he's never going to be. His skills in that regard are pretty pedestrian. Better than he was his first couple years in the league, but he's not even Kirk Cousins when it comes to pre-snap reads and going through his progressions.

Few can outrun him. Even fewer can out-think him.

It's real.

It's lost amidst the flood of Ravens interaction, but yes, yesterday one of our new friends was referring to Jackson as a football savant because he saw that the plan wasn't working against the Texans and told the coach at halftime they needed to drop the deep routes they had game-planned and switch to a quick passing game.

To make it even funnier, the guy who kept bringing up was talking about Jackson telling his OC that at HALFTIME. Not from the sideline, after running a few snaps, or even a few series, and seeing what the Texans were doing.

Yeah, that's a sign of advanced processing and dissecting of the defense!
