It hurts me a little extra because he was my guy and I thought he would be much better at this point.

He only has a very, very small sample size, plus maybe he was less prepared because he didn't get first team reps, etc. this week. But, once his playing time increases, he has to show improvement.

On an unrelated note, gosh, that draft pick we wouldn't give New Orleans really played well today. I mean, a person that doesn't exist could only have been slightly worse than our defensive backs today. We didn't need that Lattimore guy at all.

Yep, all those people that want to give Brady 100% credit for Belichick's defense intercepting Russell Wilson on the goal line, or Belichick's defense holding a 30 ppg Rams team to just 3 points in a Super Bowl. Or the refs bailing out Tom's fumble with the Tuck Rule, etc.

But I do think Brady & Mahomes have leadership characteristics that trickle down to the rest of the team. Their teammates run through a brick wall for them. We saw that today in the 2nd half where the Defense found a way to hold the Broncos to 0 points and you got a blocked FG at the end from the special teams unit.

Danna got credited with the block, but in this picture it looks like Danna is pretty far over to the right with maybe not much penetration. Did he get the ball from the line of scrimmage? Did the loser broncos kicker try to get it around the guys who blew up the line? I would've bet that Chenal or Karlaftis got it, and after the game the cameraman seemed to think that Pennel got it. I'm going to need a frame by frame analysis to figure it out definitively.

Regardless of who got it, I salute them all. But I particularly salute Danna if he got it.

Yes, in case it wasn't clear that he was trolling Brady fans:

I would agree with that. Their will to win (or hate of losing) does extend to their teammates. Most NFL teams aren't able to show up as consistently as we do week to week (see Denver's no show/quit last week for just one example) and a lot of that can be attributed to the leadership.

You have a very positive leadership group in Coach Reid, Coach Spags, Coach Toub, Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Butker...these dudes never give up. It all trickles down to the role players throughout the roster.

I bet D-Hopkins is pretty amazed hanging out with this leadership team compared to the shitty places he has seen in his NFL career. Kareem Hunt knows it as well as anyone considering his experience in both Kansas City and shitty Cleveland.

If Joe Burrow and Macaulay Culkin had a child together it would be Tom Grossi.
