They're a good offense, but Detroit hasn't been to the playoffs in like 7 years.

Some bg takeaways from the defense last night, McDuffie is a stud, Bolton gives zero ****s about a RB trying to block him, and Spags can get creative sending guys into the backfield. That tag team tackle by Chenal and Sneed was awesome.

My only gripe with Spags was letting Jared Goff who has almost a 70% completion rate when not pressured, off the hook on 3rd downs. Pressure pressure no pressure huge gain. Can't just let qbs sit back there on 3rd and long, and with that Lions O line as good as they are you can't just send 4.

The last seven years mean nothing at all; different players, different front offices, different coaching staff.

Last year, this team won 8 of 10 down the stretch. They had a top 5 offense, and added Gibbs. They've re-stocked the defensive secondary and are running a pretty different scheme if game one is any indication.

They may not have made the play-offs in a long time, but I'd bet about anything that if they stay reasonably healthy, they're a play-off team in 2023.

You're not a playoff team until you make the playoffs.

This should be easily understandable for Chiefs fans because the Chargers are crowned champions every season, but somehow they don't win.

They're a good, explosive offense. If they make the playoffs, they'll be a playoff team, but not before.

You don't say? Jeez, I had no idea. Thanks for clearing that up.

You responded to my post saying they weren't a playoff team and haven't been in 7 years, with the last 7 years mean nothing at all.

When actually, they mean that the Detroit Lions have not been a playoff team for 7 years, which would include last year, and therefore excludes them from being talked about as if they are a playoff team.

Calling the Lions a playoff team is as wrong as calling the Chargers a Superbowl team.

Further clarification available if needed.

That's a play-off team we just played. Barring freak injuries, it's a good squad that won 8 of 10 in the second half of last season.

When January rolls around, I'll be right, and your argument about the past will be simply irrelevant, which is what I was saying anyway.

The Eagles were clearly a Super Bowl contender by late last September, but they weren't really, I guess, because they hadn't been in a few years by your logic. Good for you.

They're a playoff team based on what? The whole 14 points they were able to muster offensively?

I'll take this to mean that you believe that the Detroit Lions walked in and just flat out beat KC. Thats sad, because in reality they were simply the beneficiary of the Kansas City Chiefs stepping on their dicks, like they do at least once every year against teams they should beat.

I'll bet you thought the Colts were a playoff team last year too, since they beat us WITH Jones and Kelce playing, right?

Thump your 8/10 stretch last year all you like, Sam Darnold the legend, and his mighty Panthers kept these amazing Lions out of post season contention.

It's okay to require status to be earned. Not just freely given because oooh last year and they got to be first on line for the Andy Reid sideline pant shitting of 2023.

So yes, the 14 points they put up? How will the NFC stop this juggernaut?

Boys, boys. The Chiefs suck. We might as well all embrace it now rather than later.

We had a good run. We wanted longer, yes, but it is what it is. We still got a few SB's out of it, which is more than most teams can say. We should say we were blessed.

I will always be a Chiefs fan however. Peace.
