I love how every local station is still on air, but Fox just cut to The Simpsons. Sometimes I don't know if the others overreact, or Fox just doesn't give a crap.

She's very moist in St. Louis right now...

So was that it? Is there any chance of more storms tonight?

This thing was talked up by the national media saying it could be the biggest storm in 3 years.

Sorry, man. Looks like a pretty small body count this time.

Lulz.... Amazing race over a major threat of a storm in KC?

Fail.

So far everything has just gone north of us and we lucked out again

tk13 04-27-2014 06:31 PM

There's apparently what could be an extremely large tornado NW of Little Rock. Reports it may be a mile wide.

Deberg_1990 04-27-2014 06:32 PM

The news stations will never admit to it, but most of the overblown weather coverage is about ratings. Bad weather makes people watch. More "Paranoia theater" from the news media.

Look how popular this thread is.

Earlier on KCTV5

Weatherman: National weather service reporting that tornado near Butler has broken up...my fear is that it may reform!

With two friends affected by a tornado, one their house totally gone, I'm one.

tk13 04-27-2014 06:56 PM

The storm chasers have been harping on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday for over a week. While I'm sure the ratings boost is legit, today wasn't some fabricated thing. And it sounds like there's a pretty ugly tornado tearing through northern Arkansas at the moment.

TLO 04-27-2014 06:58 PM

Any update on that Little Rock tornado?
