Thiggy has looked great the last 4 weeks.

JuicesFlowing 11-16-2008 01:31 PM

He's matured a lot, and the coaches finally wised up.

KCwolf 11-16-2008 01:39 PM

DO NOT draft a 1st rd. QB........give Thigpen a real QB coach and develop. Thigpen looks better than Croyle has EVER looked, our offense has actually changed due to Thigpen - get some O-line help and actually develop a 24 yr old QB and see what happens. Sure he's going to make mistakes...but my God...Croyle made a million......I'm on board the Thigpen train.

Thigpen played another solid game today.
The Interception is acceptable under the circumstances.
A two-TD performance on a day where drops killed this team.
The Offensive Line was bad today. McIntosh got abused.

Overall another good performance in my mind and another feather in his cap.

Agreed... I would be ok with giving a QB a miss in the draft. Pick up a vet and have him fight it out for 2nd string with Croyle.

We have too many holes to fill in the Defense and Thigpen has earned the opportunity to start 16 straight.

This. Agreed.

He could have come close to 300 if it wouldn't have been for butter fingers.

He was our offense today.

Our pass rush was downright awful today, if we dont' get a top flight rusher this draft, we are screwed on D again next year.

However, we did keep the most prolific passer this year, to under 270 yds passing and got a pick. Lance Moore burned our defense. We missed Flowers and Johnson.

Push rush was awful TODAY?? The Kansas City Chiefs have 6 sacks ALL season. It's the lowest recorded sack total since 1982. Today? How about ALL season. It's a stat that truly tells how bad the D-line or the D-scheme is. As bad as it's been since 1982 in the NFL.

I think Thigpen is without a doubt our QBOTF now. Anybody who can string together four good-to-great performances against quality teams, with the talent and coaching (or lack thereof) around him is not a fluke. Now it's a matter of getting him a line that will give him time and a defense that will get off the field.

I used to subscribe to the theory that if by some miracle Matt Stafford is on the board, we take him. I still think you give him a long hard look, but no longer do I consider him a must-pick. Thigpen is, for all intents and purposes, "the guy", and if you can get good value on a need position, you take that guy over Stafford. Or trade down.

This. Correction on my part, indeed bad all season.

Somehow though, we kept Brees from throwing 400+ yds.

That can be attributed to Brees' WR's and TE's dropping passes.

he needs to do a better job of throwing the ball away
but considering all else he's done right
that seems small
