Joe's fundraisers were for the Arthritis Foundation, Kyle didn't get any $ from those.

And ftr, the first time Kyle ever asked for donations since I've been here was when he upgraded the servers last year. I'm sure he operated this place at a loss for years.

On a side note... I would love for the site to pay for itself with unodtrusive ads... BUT that isn't very viable since the point of an ad is to be noticed... and I don't want the site junked up with noticable ads...

The other option would be to have sponsers (i.e. the official ticket broker of CP, or the official USB butt warmer of CP...) but that is a route I have never had the time or energy to pursue...

but regardless, don't expect the site to go to any kind of "premium" model or get junked up with ads anytime soon... I'll launch RaidersPlanet.com if I want to annoy the members....

Not sure. I've made one donation per month and mine is still here, not sure about the others.

Not to tell you what to do, but if you enjoy your time here, it might be a nice thing to donate even $5. Any little amount helps I'm sure.
