Yep. Well not totally. He's still in Missouri.

I reacted to you generalization.

Had you not been such a dick to start out in this thread, I would have had no problem with you.

People on Chiefs planet were quite vocal in their worry that a coaching staff had not been hired. This thread announced that coaches had been hired.
Posts 8,9, and 11 started the negative train. I then, having been sick of all the complaining about Pioli's timetable, posted what I did and said "This about sums up Chiefs Planet over the last two weeks" The operative phrase being Chiefs Planet, not this thread specifically, but Chiefs Planet"

so please knock it off about how i just, for no reason, attacked the precious posters in this thread, because its hardly the case. Its you guys who over-reacted and got all defensive about it and resorted to the dumbass etc.. remarks.

If you havent been doing any of the whining i have no idea why you would react to it like im talking to you.

Exactly. It's as if this stupid douche goes on the public transit system and yells at riders that too many people are driving cars. Makes his inbred dumbassery shine through.

When Pioli and Haley met with them, did they just say you're going to coach the Chiefs and we'll decide your position later?

But yes, keep believing it's chaos.

On the other hand, if they announce him as LB coach and Crennel (or whoever) doesn't come aboard, how do they explain Gibbs' sudden promotion next week without giving away that they didn't get their man?

There may be other hires in the same vein. Hunt said they weren't through yet.

The net result is that they still don't know what jobs one or more of those guys are going to have.

There’s a reason Chiefs coach Todd Haley hasn’t provided specific duties for his assistants: He hasn’t determined all of them yet.

In his first public comments since his introductory news conference two weeks ago, Haley said Wednesday he was still sorting through important issues like whether he will call the offensive plays and what defensive system the Chiefs will use.

Haley also said he planned to hire at least one additional assistant. Those decisions will then determine exactly how the staff aligns.

“There are still a few moving parts,” Haley said before leaving for Indianapolis and the NFL’s annual scouting combine. “That’s why we haven’t gotten into specifics. Right now I’m just trying to get as many good coaches as we can get. To this point, I’m happy with what I’ve been able to do. If you have good coaches, then you figure out the best fit.

“I’m not trying to be cute here. I’m trying to leave enough flexibility, and then I’ll sort it out from there.”

Any time you need to know what the Chiefs are up to, feel free to ask me. :D

Thanks orange

But clearly, Pioli and Haley need to understand its not about putting the right pieces together to build a championship. Its all about keeping people on chiefs planet completely informed 24 hours a day so that they may feel in some way that they actually are part of the KC Chiefs front office and not just cheetoh eaters in front of a computer

We can only hope that Pioli can teach us all how to be better fans. It is probably covered somewhere in the "Patriots Way" handbook. Once we have all read it, then we will be much better fans. Maybe even as good as you one day.

This is no different to me than 2000 when people in NE had to get used the secrecy and the odd way this guy Belichick did things. Pioli was right there with him and hes doing it the exact same way.

The planet is lucky to have someone with your experience in the Belichick/Pioli style of public relations. Not a one of the planet members had any idea that information about what was going on behind the scenes would be kept out of the media. We were all expecting the entire franchise to be an open book. Who would have thought that Pioli would implement the same kind of information policy here as he (and Belichick) used while building one of the top teams in the league. Go figure. Fell free to post any of the ole stories that might pop into your mind about 'How Pioli/Belichick did things back in '00 '.

Good morning Pioli_Fluffer. I'm surprised you're up so early after what must have been a long, hard night of working the streets.

what? you think that is news to them? didn't they do it that way in NE?

Pioli Zombie 02-19-2009 12:33 PM

Apparently many of you DID need to be told that based on how clueless the reactions have been to the coaching hire situation

It amazes me how the can land the most coveted GM candidate and the fasted rising head coach candidate and instead of being hopeful and excited people can only piss and moan about the FO communication style.

People are happy about Pioli, myself included. Hell, I like Haley too, I think he could be fantastic as a Head Coach....but we're all a little high-strung to see what's around the corner b/c there's a ton to do - and a lot of talk thus far...high draft selection, tons of cap space, front office and coaching overhaul...

It's the squadron of leftovers feeling that has everyone sick. I believe they wanted Haley the entire time, or would have hired someone else before hand. It's the rest of the cast that makes you feel bad, we have and will have a young team - these coaches matter. I don't like any act that keeps Slappy in the office - some things don't matter, but a recent track record of setting the league low should.

It's a thankless exercise, but somebody's got to do it. Still, I would rather have your job and piss and moan about other fans pissing and moaning. So, I'm going with the next best thing and piss and moan about you pissing and moaning about us pissing and moaning.

Meanwhile, I'm beginning to wonder why you care so much, Mr. Zombie. And this, in turn, makes me wonder how you became a zombie. Does Pioli's sperm carry a virus?
