Runner on 1st and 0 out = 43 percent chance of scoring
Runner on 2nd and 0 out = 60 percent chance of scoring
Runner on 3rd and 1 out = 54 percent chance of scoring

"This decrease in scoring percentages makes sacrifice bunting the runner to third base extremely questionable if the batter is a decent hitter."

Bloomquist is hitting 2nd. By virtue of putting him in this spot, Hillman is implicitly saying WB handles the bat well and is a "decent" hitter.

But please, continue to tell me that I'm wrong. It's simple math. And Hillman doesn't know what the **** he is doing.

K well that is percentages. And I don't care where WB bats. He is a singles hitter and the odds are just as good of moving the runner with him bunting.

And funny now you are all the sudden reverting to Hillman's judgment in your defense. Let's just say we will agree to disagree.

I could go for that. Davies facing the Jays isn't my idea of a good match up right now.

You don't know who Brian Burres is.

I didn't put him there, dude. I'm not making the lineup card.

If Hillman thinks Bloomquist can't handle the stick, he wouldn't be in the 2 hole.

We're talking about odds of scoring and having a productive inning, not moving a runner. Fact are facts. The right call is to swing away. The exception would be if a pitcher were at the plate.
