Looked Good:
Corey Smith, Jovan Belcher, Tank Tyler, DJ, Dorsey (hit and miss), Pollard.

Looked bad:
Bowe (although better than yesterday), Waters (hurt his knee), Rodney Wright (the coaches ride his ass like he's the only player on the field...but he did catch a nice post pattern for a TD during team drill).

Interesting seeing Studebaker and Smith playing with the 1s at different times.

I bet they want Rodney Wright to be their little Wes Welker in training. He's a little quick guy isn't he?

Is Tyler working with the 1st team?

No.

Edwards has been exclusively.

He is going to be one of the first cuts if he doesn't figure "it" out. He seems lazy, and unintelligent. He is quick, though. Physically, I'm impressed with his talent. But his brain just isn't there.

Also, our long snapper SUCKS!!!!

Sully what is your take on Darling running with the first team?

Sully 08-04-2009 04:10 PM

I think someone needs to run with the first team, but we are paper thin at WR, even moreso than I thought. Darling looked to be dogging it during a couple of drills today. It was disappointing.

LJ hazed Javvy Williams.

Our first rookie hazing has come and gone. Following today’s practice, RB Larry Johnson mischievously waited for rookie RB Javarris Williams to exit the practice field. Once Williams reached the doomed end zone, it was on.

I typed Smith, but meant Mays.

Soren Petro says Hali & Mcbride look lost at outside linebacker.

Titty Meat 08-04-2009 04:25 PM

Lmao. Soren Petro said they ran a 1-5-5 defense. This defense really doesn't have shit we better hope the offense can score some points.

Pendergast is basically a mad scientist.

I disagree, to an extent. Petro was standing right by me, so we had the same angle, but I saw, on one play, Hali drop into a zone, and cover a TE who dragged to his side pretty well, and I have been impressed with Turk's quickness. I don't think they look nearly as fluid as someone like Vrabel, but they don't look "lost." That's not how I'd describe them.

They've been running a lot of nickle stuff with 1 down lineman or 2 down linemen, but they still have at least 3 linemen on the field, just not in one static place.
