The kid was impressive. Got in some jams, but pitched out of them very well.

Gotta love the guy who bats ahead of Braun and Fielder - the ****er made the third out of the inning three times IIRC, once with the bases loaded. And Braun and Fielder were a combined 0 for the day. :thumb:

Here's something to understand thier pain...The Cardinals will be playing meaningfull and entertaining baseball all season long, while the Royals trot out a lineup with Kendall, "Kid K"Ankiel, Getz, Betencourt...etc as regulars. It must be quite flustrating for them to see a Cardinal thread and read about guys like Pujols, Holliday, Rasmus, Carp, Wainwright, Molina....etc.
