Not really sure anyone will do that. I mean, it's a six-million-dollar cockblock (or whatever his salary works out to). What team really wants to take on that salary, as well as the potential headache Moss provides, just to block another team? No, I think there will be legitimate claims by a handful of teams who think he will provide some receiver help and stretch the defense. There are many plausible teams. Just off the bat, the Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos, Jets, Chargers, Packers, Bears... It's going to have to be a team that a.) has a need, b.) has playoff aspirations, c.) has a strong head coach/locker room, and d.) can afford to take a six-million-dollar flier on the guy.
IMO, weirdly enough, the only team that I can see putting in a claim just for appearances might be the Patriots. They're last on the list, so they certainly don't have to claim him, as he'd then be a FA and they could talk to him anyway, but putting in a claim is a nice gesture and, on the off chance no one else puts in a claim, would probably be enough of an olive branch to make Randy behave for the rest of the season. ("Look here, Randy, we appreciated your postgame comments, and we got a free third-rounder, so we're willing to pick up your full salary again. You come here, behave yourself now that you realize how much it could suck out there on a crappy team, and at the end of the season you can go your own way again.")
