Again, I think this is pretty well understood.

In fact, what was the last move we made before releasing Gaither?

We paid a QB $2.5 million in an attempt to upgrade the position. Of course, he wasn't an upgrade over Palko either according to our HC.

No I was replying to Bone Krusher saying that we shouldn't get a qb until the rt spot is filed.

Of course it does, but it's not worth getting ones panties in a bunch over.

I swear you guys take press conference bullshit to heart. Orton going in in the second quarter is a pretty big statement that the Palko era was over.

Haley has already said that Orton was coming in for that specific play (flea flicker) and Palko was coming back in. And even if the Palko era was over, why the **** did he even start that game in the first place?

like i said i just think he could have worked out in KC if he had been givin' a chance but Dumbass Haley fixed that.

Wait do you want to get an RT before getting a QB or do you want to prioritize getting a qb?

You can't have it both ways.

No clue. Orton isn't the answer, but he at least belongs in this league. Seems like every pass Palko threw was a bubble screen or under 5 yards in the air. I don't remember a throw further than 15 yards down the field.

Do you know of any updates on Orton's condition? He played for us with a badly injured finger. I hope the guy does well, except against my Broncos.

Haley was just blowing smoke to protect Palko. He isn't going to throw him under the bus to media. It was pretty clear they were getting Orton ready to go. He got 40% of the snaps in practice this past week after just arriving.

It pretty much was. Shocking that our line would look better as we are throwing bubble screens every play.

I agree 100% that Orton isn't the answer. But, just like Gaither, he is the best at his position on this team, so he should have been on the field.

It was in his press conference I believe, so I don't have a link. I listened to it on the radio.

The plan was to sub Orton in on every pass expected to go 5 yards or more downfield.

Thanks.

I thought the issue with Gaither is that he didn't want to play RT (I know he said he would right after he was picked up but that doesn't mean his heart was in it)? If may explain why he couldn't replace BR and the Chiefs finally go fed up with him. He may be serviceable in a pinch at LT but he isn't better than Albert (not that he showed, anyway).

This offense is like Herm ball on speed. Especially when they do the hurry up, throw bubble screen, then up the center's ass LJ style bonanza.

Ah yes, if there's one thing Haley makes it a point to do, it is massage the egos of his players and build their confidence. LMAO
