And he wasn't even on the "top 100" list from NFLN that was voted on by the players last year AT ALL.

The best thing that could happen to this franchise of for Cassel to step up and play the position well.

We just don't think he can.

I am an elite poster. **** all of you. :harumph:

I had an argument with a Donkeys fan at my work about the Mannings. He was trying to tell me that Eli wouldn't be a hall of fame QB. The stupidity of the conversation almost made my head explode. At this point in their careers Eli is the better QB and is a lock for the hall of fame.

Peyton has been the more impressive QBas far as breaking down the defense and talent, but Eli has been a lot more clutch. I think Eli had been on teams that have allowed him to do less, but he's.come up huge when needed. Last year he was the focus and carried them.

I would live to eat some Cassel Crow, but I know he and this organization are delusional. I'd much rather see what Quinn or Stanzi have.

I don't know how Eli can be "more solid!"

Eli has emerged as the Giants best-ever quarterback.

He's solid rock.

I really like the Giants new Super Bowl ring. I hope the Chiefs get one soon!

eli's first 4 seasons were worse than matt cassel's first 4 seasons, both stat wise and play on the field imo. those were at least as bad as matt cassel games during the first years eli took over.

phil simms started out bad too.

when we look at it this way, it's hard to argue matt cassel couldn't turn into a decent QB. but no. I don't think cassel has the skillsets, the mechanics etc... he's a baseball player moonlighting.

Eli Manning threw for 3700 yards, led the #3 scoring offense and the #11 passing offense his second season.

I feel confident saying Matt Cassel will never do any of those things.

Oh, and in Eli's 4th year he won the freaking SB.

So I have a big problem with what you just posted.

he was struggling that forth season and caught fire the last game. then it was the already mentioned and highly admired post season tear he went on.

if you add his stats together, you'll find they are less than cassel's during his accumulative first 4. I'm going off memory here, could be wrong, but I doubt I'm far off.

he was awful to watch during those seasons wendler. just as bad as cassel, if not worse. that season he won it all, fans were calling for coughlin's head, hated the QB -- it was getting ugly NY style man, but he clicked and the rest is his toe ree.

What you said was wrong, and you should be punished painfully.

I still have nightmares over the last time we went to the playoffs with Matt Cassel as QB. Jebus talk about ass rape.

In his defense, it wasn't all Cassel in that game. Our coach was a complete dipshit too.

True. Dexter McCluster had a key fumble.

What a piece of shit player that Dexter McCluster is.

that was just awful to watch. I came into KC that week and was leaning toward grabbing tix but had too much to do and couldn't make it. flew back during the game and when I got back home to watch the game, ffwd was used quite a bit. that game soured me on cassel too.

the throws he made were just awful and the ones he didn't make were full reerun.
