Haha, reminds me of Chiefs fans last year who were cheering so hard for this team to make the playoffs when it was clear we'd get a beating in the playoffs and would be much better served by getting a high 1st round pick to draft a top QB prospect.

Forgetting for a moment that if we lose Bowe, I'll cry and throw a baby at or out of something, Pioli's trading/drafting history gives me almost zero hope that he won't completely botch this (potential) deal.

But it'll take him another season or so to get there and that's if he doesn't end up shell-shocked first.

Just because Luck and RGIII were turnkey QBs doesn't mean that we're going to get one in Smith, Barkley or whoever. There are far more guys like Eli Manning, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco that take a couple years to get things ironed out than there are guys like RGIII.

Even Cam Newton had Steve Smith to chuck the ball downfield to last year.

Most quarterbacks, including the guys we now think of as elite, take a little time to get there. That time is significantly diminished by having people to throw to.
