Those are the 3 most realistic options.

Agree. I just don't think Floyd fits as well in the 3-4 so I would say.

1. Tradedown
2. Geno
3. Star

Neither does Star.

You honestly think Alex Smith has a say in the matter? No, sorry, i don't think any "promises" were made to Alex Smith. That is reeruned.

You honestly think players have input on who the team drafts? ROFL

Powder keg....ROFL good one.

Im sure adding Geno Smith, an unproven rookie, would ignite instant controversy in the locker room with a new QB and new HC

IDIOT, the media is full of report about how the 49ers want to do right by AS by allowing him to approve where he wants to go in a trade. This was built up as a reward and respect for how he handled himself in the Kaepernick thing. I know your wet dreams about Geno have compromised your judgement, but there are other alternatives to your one track thinking.

Star absolutely can play 3-4 DE. Look at all the postion rankings and he is #1 on all of them....or at least was. Some may have moved him down with the heart situation. I'm assuming it gets cleared soon.

Dayze 03-04-2013 04:58 PM

you want to pick up a 3-4 end that high?

One track thinking?

I've entertained all options in this thread, stating repeatedly that all options are on the table. God damn you are dumb.

You're the idiot who thinks that a PLAYER has any say at all on who the team will draft. And it's been reported that Alex didn't even know he was being traded until the story broke.....so much for that idea, eh?

Dayze 03-04-2013 04:59 PM

top 3 picks should only be one of the following:

QB
WR
Pass Rusher
LT

Star could play anywhere up front. Very versatile.

I'm sorry but I don't see how this reasoning works. If they don't need it anymore and the other teams know it, doesn't that devalue the pick?

When have players ever dictated where they go in a trade without themselves being in a position of leverage. I bet if AS were to favor Arizona they would tell him to **** off even if they cod get a great deal for him.

Especially one with no pass rush. Tyson Jackson all over again.

Uhm, no?

It means that the Chiefs are now available to pick any player they want, including whichever player that is most coveted. We are no longer locked into LT, which if anything, minimized the value of the pick.

Cleared? Perhaps. But free of worry? No. Even if it just happened because of the heightened stress and pressure of the combine and he has no real history or identifiable condition, that is still certainly something to be weary of and is more than enough to prevent him from going #1 overall.

Not really...but I think it is the most likely thing to happen.

We just jumped on the Alex Smith bankwagon. We better get a stud D built very, very quickly.

Star, Poe, Jackson
Houston, Johnson, ???, Tamba
Flowers, FA CB, Berry FA S

Has the making of a very, very good D.
