I would say the defense cost us today, on several counts.

And the inconsistent Royals offense decides to wait until the 9th inning to get off their asses. LMAO

gblowfish 07-05-2013 08:58 PM

Well, "Salute the A's" weekend is off to a flying start. Tonight we roll over and play dead for eight innings, because its not polite to salute your opponent then, you know, beat him. Tomorrow you get a T-Shirt with a Jackass on the front and you can stick your fist up a mule's ass before the game if you want to. Sunday they should dig up Charles Finley's corpse so every fan can kiss his dead, wrinkled ass. I'm assuming they're going to permit themselves to be swept, because it wouldn't be nice to salute your opponent then actually beat them. Just not good sportsmanship.

Oh and here's a fun tidbit. When the Royals have drawn 25,000 or more at home this year, they're 0-8. The bigger the crowd, the worse they play.

Outside of Opening Day, right?

gblowfish 07-05-2013 09:15 PM

Opening day they lost 1-0 to the Chisox. So it includes opening day.

That was an away game. They won their first home game 3-1 against the Twins.

EDIT: I can not find any other games where this occurred, however.

Frustrating team. no consistency at all. I'll bet this team finishes with 79 or 80 wins in 3rd place. Progress....
