That Colts game a couple weeks ago was flukey as hell. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did. I'm hoping that they got it out of their system and will come in rested and fired up to do it right this time.

That discounts the level of QB play they faced a bit too in those intervals.

3 points allowed first half against Eggo before he went down....38 after. You tell me it didn't have a serious impact.

Yeah, that's a really dumb tweet. This defense began shitting the bed with Houston still on the field.

Bullshit. They held Denver to a season low at the time point total and we're collapsing the pocket on Crybaby allowing only 3 points.

Interesting info from the KC Star.

Chiefs are the only AFC playoff team with more road wins than home wins.

Since the 2nd Wildcard team was added in 1990 at least 1 team has won a road playoff game every year and in the AFC 2 road teams have been won games 9 out of the last 10 years.

Seems to me when the offense is playing well it's like a Chip Kelly-lite offense -- getting playmakers into space with runs and short passes and to be effective, the O-line must be creating that space.

They played better teams / QB's at home is the only reason IMO.

We played 5 teams at home that didn't make the playoffs and 5 teams on the road that didn't make the playoffs.

Well that it was and Im hoping right along with you. However, I dont have much confidence that the Chiefs can win in Indy based on the fact that the Indy game at Arrowhead was the only game this season where the Chiefs were totally outplayed. I cant help but feel like it matters. Indy plays better at home as well...

Just bought 4 tickets. Road tripping to Indy on Saturday morning. PUMPED.

Ehh....it's a Tuesday so I'm not that worried. If he isn't practicing by Thursday....I'll be worried.

In any case, I have this feeling of dread going into the game. Nothing would make me happier than for us to bounce these guys after all the heartache they've caused, but I'm just nervous as hell that once again, things will go awry.

Ya, and yet, in 2010 everyone was supremely confident going into the Colts game because they had the worst run defense in the league, by a wide margin, and we had the best rushing offense in the NFL.
Predictions and prognostication is just a wild guess with little intrinsic value for the game upcoming.

Vegas has us installed as their favorite to win- and their putting money on their pick when setting the line.

I don't think it's a certainty that we win, but I feel optimistic in their chances to come away with a victory.

Hell, if this team got "hot" and the defense plays like they were in the 1st half of the season, and the offense like it has towards the end of the season, there isn't a team that they can't beat, but that's just a complete unknown as to what version of the defense and offense will show up on any given Sunday- or Saturday in this case.

It was the only game all season that the entire team played like shit and it felt more like a fluke. I think they just had a let down after making the playoffs the week before. Yes, they technically could have still won the division but I don't think anyone believed that the broncos would lose to either the Texans or the Raiders.

If Houston is back, Hali and Poe are rested and someone locks Robinson in a closet, the Chiefs have a chance to win this. If Hali and/or Houston are out, it looks grim.

Name the QB's home and road please? Record Home and road please? Coincidence? :hmmm:

Lets make this much easier, who did we lose to at home? Rivers, (should have won) Manning, and Luck.

Road - Rivers (should have won) Manning.

We lost 5 games to 3 QB's and we should have beat Rivers twice really.

You can only play who is on your schedule.
