So why didn't they get any of those pieces in their first draft then?

Maybe they did? Apparently they feel they did atleast

Alex Smith needs a defense. That's it. He can put on an NFL offense style drive and score points in any ****ing game. He needs a defense to help slow down/stop a shootout and he's fine. I'm not even asking for a shutdown defense anymore, just a defense that isn't going to give up the quick 1 minute touchdown strike. Any defense that can make a ****ing stop and he's fine. He can throw to any slapdick, the dude proved that his entire career.

I think it's pretty obvious what kind of a supporting cast Alex Smith needs...

In harbaughs system, I agree.

In Andy Reid's, I'm not sure he needs that much.

You will have a better draft slot next year.. Don't Worry

I wasn't talking about the offense.

See mcaj22's post.

Mr. Spiccoli you're on dangerous ground here...

Just because I make fun of my family doesn't mean YOU can.

Yep, theres waaay too many of those for my liking this year...

why couldn't they just sign one of these safeties and then pack it up for FA. why did they have to sign all these scrub bottom feeders and then put all the eggs in one basket on a special teamer and a 5th round pick with a bum shoulder to play safety in 2014 as it stands right now.

I can hope they use their 1st or 3rd round pick on a safety but that's a longshot.

Jarius Byrd would have won that playoff game last year. After that, who knows? It's a whole hell of lot better than what we've seen for the past 20 years.

That guy would've been a HUGE get this year, hell we could've just gotten him and no one else in free agency this year and it would've been a hit IMO.

A receiver would've been great, but this current group went into the 30's 40's and 50's in the last 5 games, so I could've lived with just one real impact guy like Byrd at our most atrocious position.

ed* didn't see that first sentence from mcaj before posting this, couldn't agree more, just ONE big signing at that position would've made a world of difference.

The fact that Lewis and Robinson are gone is an improvement in the D.

But, yeah Byrd would have been nice.

Yeah, of course.

Anybody that doesn't 100% agree with what the Chiefs are doing is ridiculous.

No dissenting opinions allowed.

That is not it and you know it. You are so ridiculous. Mr. a 4th round pick is not a middle round pick to you it is late, yet it is the middle round.
If you think I agree 100% with what they have done you are very mistaken.

Titty Meat 04-05-2014 06:23 PM

Has Marcellus botched about this thread yet?

ROFL

Is that really all you have to stand on? That I consider a 4th round pick "late"?
