Jackson had 3 catches for 62 yards. I don't consider him a #1 WR, much more of a gadget and flash player than he is a consistent #1 type receiver. Flowers gave up a big 40 yarder to him from what I remember. Most of the time Vick had almost no time to throw because Houston was abusing Lane Johnson so badly. Here is the play: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-h...-40-yard-catch Broncos, Welker made Flowers look absolutely lost when trying to cover the slot. It was sad because our entire secondary looked so bad that virtually every receiver was open within 1 or 2 seconds after the snap of the ball. I remember specifically a play when Welker faked a crossing route and Flowers tried to guess and was beaten by a mile to the inside instead. It was absolutely pathetic CB play. Against the Colts, I wasn't able to watch the first game but in the playoffs Flowers did well against Hilton for the most part. He was certainly better than Robinson. Hilton is not a #1 WR, he's another gadget-type WR who is primarily a deep threat. |

put together a quick list for us how many players are left on rosters from the draft 6 years ago, i'm curious the teams that consistently compete do not overpay the next tier players who want too much $, they let em go and have young guys to step up. that's what they are trying to build here, not gonna happen from LY offseason, building from the worst team from 2012. Albert is NOT a top LT but insisted to be paid as such Dorsey never lived up to his draft spot and didn't fit the scheme at all Carr wanted to get paid, and he did, WAY overpaid Flowers played very well for us, but the cap # was too much for what we need to do 6 years is a long time ago in draft years |
