I think you just run Tyreek at him, right?

Peters has no answers for Tyreek.

Hoover 11-14-2018 12:38 PM

What do you think his trade value would be now?

THANK GOD we got rid of that ignorant jackass. One bright spot for Marcus, they don't play the United States National Anthem before CFL games.

There are multiple liberal democrats on here who think Peters was wildly overrated, refused to tackle, was an addition by subtraction, will flame out of the league, and while he had the right to protest however he wanted, it is better that he is gone.

Sorry to not play into your narrative.

What?

I think he's saying that Peters' stats - especially interceptions - were inflated by a tendency to bail on his assignment and jump routes. While it allowed him to get lots of turnovers, it also gets him burned for big plays.

With QBs now having tons of tape on him, they know not to give him that short, baited throw that he's waiting to pounce on, instead, waiting for the double move to really create separation.

This would have happened in KC, eventually, and his trade worth would have been way lower. Add in that a lot of those coaches likely saw the same things on tape and weren't convinced his stats were due to dominance, but instead were due to opportunism at the expense of assignment-sound football.

Yeah, I believe I am one of those people. If he stands up for something he believes in I can respect that no matter my own stance. He was a headcase and a liability more often than not, so it was time to get him the **** out.

Few of them were personnel related.

Safety play was a lot better then and that allows him more help. And we lined up some weaker players on the other side. So they just went away from Peters. But LA had Talib so then it became necessary to challenge Peters. And he got exposed.

FringeNC 11-14-2018 02:44 PM

We need to get into the habit of moving D players, not giving them a huge second contract. Hopefully, we have learned our lesson.

Chiefnj2 11-14-2018 02:45 PM

Reasons for decline:

1. Scheme is very different. He had one side of the field in KC and typically played off the line to read QB's. They have him mirroring the #1 in LA and pressing a lot.

2. He hasn't learned from his mistakes. He was susceptible to double moves in KC and teams are really testing him now in LA. Peters hasn't changed his technique.

3. Hard to believe, but he might have less safety help in LA over the top then he did in KC.

4. His injury probably has something to do with his poor play.

I'm going to combine two thread topics and blame Marcus Peters for the state of Eric Berry's heel.

Think about it: Marcus loved to take chances and jump routes but also blew dog dicks at tackling both humans and social issues.

Had he been a more standard starting LCB Berry wouldn't have had to cover as much ground as he was forced to. He also wouldn't have needed to be a human missile and take extra hits/deliver extra hits if MP would just tackle.

So in summary, **** Marcus Peters for ruining Eric Berry.

Desmond King was an absolute steal as a 5th round CB.

Boy wouldn't it be nice to have him instead of Jehu Chesson?

[QUOTE=Buehler445;13891110]Don't worry. I'll keep after the farm.

However, the fact that he is blowing nutsack currently does not invalidate my point, you ****.

He was good here, so the fact that he sucks now is irrelevant to the decision that was made. Accordingly, the decision by our guys most likely follows his effect on the locker room and Mahomes' development.

But yeah, I'll stick to farming.[/QUOTE

Damn I don't even remember posting that. Must have been drunk.

This league don't give a ****. If the Chiefs even HINT at being salty, they lose 100 yards a game.

****ing bullshit.
