This^^^

This will be a friendly parting or retirement. Bob will do his seasons end player evaluations and meet with every player on defense. It takes a while be patient whatever the decision is we have no control in the matter.

Being slow about these things isn't great either since you know you miss out on guys.

Who are we missing out on right now? Who got hired in the last 5 minutes that we should have gone after?

I bet they are holding talks/interviews behind the scenes if they have made the decision to let BS go.

I'm just saying if this drags on for awhile that isn't helpful in any way.

I never really thought about it, but it is kind of interesting his initials share the colloquialism for Bullshit.

The Little blue pill. Would have a better performance.

I suspect that the defense has been run this way the past two seasons because the talent level on defense is so low. This team would need 6 or 7 new, quality starters to have a good defense. With the trash on the roster on that side of the ball, no scheme is going to work.

The problem is that the talent level on defense has been declining for 3 or 4 years running, and it hasn't been replenished. No shuffling of the deck chairs by Bob Sutton can fix that.

This is 100% accurate.

No scheme replaces talent, ever.

Is there anybody really on the market that's in danger of being poached? Seems most of the guys are scooped up already.

Yep. Having scrubs like Parker and Scandrick play for the majority of the regular season had nothing to do with Sutton. Playing Cover 2 Deep against the Patriots in OT on 3rd and 10 repeatedly despite it being the absolute worst formation against Tom Brady had nothing to do with Sutton.

Tell BB that. He has been taking mediocre defensive players for years that do one thing well because he has them in the right scheme. That is where you get the, "Just DO your job", comment.

I get your point, but it can work the other way as well. You can have all the talent in the world BUT IF you don't use their talents correctly in the right scheme they are just mediocre.

Having players literally be moved to their spots on the field because they had no idea where to line up....

It's pretty bad that the minute this team lost Dontari Poe and Sean Smith the defense completely fell off a cliff.

So basically he has to have those 2 guys at a high level or he can't call a game.
