Jalen Ramsey please please please :grovel:

The lack of good options at DC makes me feel even worse.

And I have very little confidence in Veach at this point.

Jessie Bates and Justin Reid were ****ing aweomse this year while we got Breeland ****ing Speaks.

Man, for someone who likes to go around shitting on people for "bad emotional takes", you're really being a melodramatic crybaby today.

Jalen Ramsey is a bad idea for this team right now. They need those picks to get cheaper contributors. You can’t make Mahomes, Hill, and Jones all $18M+ per year players AND add Ramsey on top of that. Especially when Mahomes will be double that $18M per year number.

I know it sounds irrational because it was essentially just year 1 for Mahomes, but this was probably our best ****ing shot and we failed (because of a ****ing offsides penalty). We have two more years of Mahomes on his rookie deal (he’ll get paid before year 5), and I just feel like it’s unlikely that we get the 1st seed with a relatively injury free season again before it’s time to pay up.

its actually 3 more years of cheap Mahomes. The Chiefs have a 5th year option. And remember we only have two more years of football and there is going to be strike/shutout that’s goung to last awhile.

Everyone’s back on offense. We will have a new DC and drafted defensive players. Probably add Earl Thomas at safety in FA.

What a ridiculous take. How is it our "best shot" with that defense?

Mahomes will win a Super Bowl. Probably multiple Super Bowls. The future is bright.

This was our best shot at a SB, it was a big one, since probably 1972. This doesn't mean it is the best shot we have coming though. I believe we will have better teams in the future which will allow for many more opportunities, possibly if not probably even a better one.

KCFTW 01-22-2019 06:12 PM

Peyton Manning didn't win a SB until year 9.

You’re probably right, but I honestly felt this way before we lost.

Every time my buddies tried to tell me it wouldn’t be the end of the world if the Chiefs lost because of Mahomes I said I know enough Dolphins fans to remember what happened to Marino.

Why are people saying this? Why is this one going to be so much harder to negotiate then any others in the past?

This was the first of many years with Mahomes, and the defense literally can not get much worse. We'll be fine.

It’s not frustrating that our safeties absolutely sucked this year and the two guys CP liked at our pick had great rookie seasons while we got a backup OLB that will probably need to move inside?
