That's not a serious football point. |

My problem is the draft picks and money. With only 5 draft picks you are extremely limited in what you can do. You probably won't be able to trade up. The top WR's in FA are gonna ask for at least $26 million APY. We can't do that if we bring Chris back, even though I'm not game for that strategy. I would ideally like the flexibility to be able to spend some money (more than MVS) on a WR like Calvin Ridley for example. Then I'd like the extra picks from the Jones trade to move up for a WR we want. Rice + proven FA + 1st rd player we like+ Toney as WR4= huge upgrade to me Meanwhile losing Chris sucks but the defense is still good, and you can probably keep Sneed in that scenario. So an above average defense (at worst) + a massively upgraded offense due to year 2 Rice and new weapons= kickass high scoring offense |

1 All-Pro Over 70 sacks 2 SB rings He's not yet 30. He is very much on pace as he likely gets another pro bowl and a good chance at leading a top KC defense to its 4th SB overall. But setting all that aside, he is an elite difference maker and very few other players on the roster are. He leaves and this defense has very little chance at being top 5 next year, most likely drops to 8-12. So I am good with moving on with Jones AND Sneed if Jones goes- if we decide to go back to just killing people on offense. Keep the defense young and dirt cheap and just give Mahomes 3 top weapons and he goes nuclear. |

If Veach is the wizard we all know he is, he will find a way to bring back Danna and Sneed with CJ95s $ and tag trade Jones for a couple picks that he will turn into absolute gems.

He wants a longer contract but he also wants to a Chief. No reason to assume he's gone just because some people here want to get rid of our best players as a default. |
