I’ll bet he was in a group and hopped into another car that fled. Running across that highway and into the other set of lanes doesn’t make a lot of sense

On second thought... did the eye witnesses actually see Rice or is this just a car that belongs to Rice?

Does he have shitty friends that he lent his car to or did, perhaps, someone steal his car then wreck it?

This may not be on Rice at all.

if they found his ID and jersey in the car i got a real bad feeling

yeah the fact that he left the scene can only indicate the worst.

the worst thing about this is he seemed like such a great kid

Leaving the jersey in the car is some America’s Dumbest Criminals stuff

suzzer99 03-31-2024 01:38 AM

Not to get him in trouble. But OP, who we now know is extremely reliable, originally posted that an innocent person was killed or seriously injured, and all occupants of both racing vehicles fled the scene.

If someone was killed, I think they wait until family is notified before making it public. So this could be very very bad.

Exactly he seems pretty switched on. Insane if it ends up being true that he was driving.

Fast cars and or Alcohol can change someone man. Plenty of nice people with fast cars street race. They just aren’t caught

DUI + leaving the scene + injury = how much jail time in Texas?

The highway being shut down like that is not good. Pretty standard protocol for when a coroner is investigating.

Both of these criminal charges are classified as felony offenses, carrying with them exorbitant penalties. Fines up to $10,000 and anywhere from 2 to 20 years in prison could be the result of a guilty verdict.

Google search

I was a ****ing idiot in my shitty Camaro when I was in high school. I'm damn lucky I didn't kill myself or someone else. By 22 or whatever Rice is I had calmed down. But I also wasn't making shit tons of money.

Tyreek Hill & Kareem Hunt also seem like good guys in their media appearances, yet both of them have some ugly baggage off the field. It looks like Rashee Rice is joining them in that category. The Chiefs really need to figure out a better evaluation process.

Sassy Squatch 03-31-2024 01:46 AM

The hit and run alone is potentially 6 months in jail. DUI and a serious injury/death on top? Potentially years of prison time.
