That’s for the WC, Divisional, and CCG as well as the SB. Since there’s a two week gap between the CCG and SB, we’ll call it an extra 5 weeks of work - meaning about $70,000 per week assuming you win (the totals are lower if you lose).

Running some numbers, it looks like weekly game checks for a $1.2m salary would come out to just above $70,000 game checks. So if your base salary exceeds $1.2m, you are actually taking less money as you play into the postseason even if your team is winning.

Guys like Mahomes and Kelce go from making $3m and $1m per week to “only” $70k lol

And yet the owners make MORE money off of playoff games.

Pretty ****ed up.

Not gonna hit on all of em unfortunately. But hey Rashee Rice and Chamarri Conner were A+ picks and Wanya Morris has to be a B at worst.

A playable starter at LT at the end of the 3rd rd is practically u heard of. Plus I think he’s gonna be a good RG next year

Wanya Morris seems like a way better version of Cam Irving.

He can be an above average (or better) guard and a fine swing tackle.

That’s a valuable guy to have.

Seemed the Dolphins had this thinking in Arrowhead in January!

So when this guy gets a sack is the crowd going to in unison say OOOOOO-Shayyyyyyy!?

Not sure Morris is a B at all, maybe in time. On the other hand I still think FAU could be, or ar least a B -...fine. Imo he's improved against the run already. Good chance the get off is always awful but if he makes any strides there at all he'll be decent

Yeah the article I read was titled something like "Why don't NFL players look too bothered when they lose in the Playoffs"

Could be why dynasties like the Chiefs and Pats seem to get more out of the bottom of the roster guys

Right. They’re raking in cash in the postseason.

This is a good point. It doesn’t appear like all escalators are public knowledge, but a lot of players do have them in their contract. Google says Mahomes earns an extra $1.25m for winning the Super Bowl and can earn another 1.25m if he wins regular season MVP.

Assuming he wins the SB but not MVP, he still takes a pay cut lol

Though I suppose you could counter that the additional exposure benefits faces of the franchise like him. He will earn much more in endorsements for consistently making it deep into the playoffs to offset the lower salary in January/February.

I remember after we dusted the Dolphins’ dicks back in January, Tyreek held a postgame press conference and was talking about the end of the season. I specifically remember him seeming a little gloomy and he made a point to mention that “the football checks stop coming” so I’m sure a lot of guys are upset about the money train leaving the station for the time being.

That’s as aesthetically pleasing as a sack gets. No sex pun.

He looks like 2019 Frank Clark when he has to move laterally. But has that Dee Ford burst. Me likely.

Don't forget he also has that Breeland Speaks nasty streak! It's like they created the perfect player in a lab!
