He's not winning with speed, get off, bend, power, leverage or great hand usage and technical ability. He wins by not stopping and when the secondary gives the DL about 5 seconds to rush. He's a mid-level player that is good at everything but great at nothing. Perfectly fine as a 2nd tier Jack of all trades, but that's him.

Omenihu on the other hand is just inconsistent, and always has been. He IS explosive when rushing at DT and he has games he looks great, but then he'll follow it up with a game he forgets how to tackle. Again, fine complementary type guy but not a consistent problem for an OL.

Can't fault the focus they've had on DL, but it really is Jones and a lot of average. Uche is just a head scratcher because man do we need speed.

AS much as I love George, if this team is gonna keep winning SB's we need an elite edge guy that can compliment Jones. And George ain't it.

Love his motor. But he has faults that can be coached. Ex: Gets pushed wide & misses inside gap assignment. (Some of Josh Allen’s big runs last game vs Bills.) Coach that up coaches!

I love George on a rookie deal. I don’t love paying him what he may command.

Either let him play it out and take the comp pick or listen to offers when it makes sense to do so.

Picking last or close to it for the last ten years has left us with probably the weakest edge rushers in the league we are probably going to have to pay for one next year , l like George but not at 25 mil per though.

Curious George is not what we hoped for.

LOL

Somehow a Steven Nelson thread turns into shitting on Karlaftis. Only on CP!

Crow will be served in dump truck loads when furious George forces a panic throw in the superbowl, intercepted and returned for the game winning score by Steven Nelson.

QB gonna have to take a 7 step drop and pat the ball 3 times before George gets there...

I have just never for one second understood that Cook pick. Dude was never a 2nd round talent.

I wanted Travis Jones or Tariq Woolen with that pick. And like everyone else, Pickens over Skyy. Pickens is unquestionably a grade A asshole, but Skyy was obviously a massive bust.

Yep I was a Travis Jones guy too. Cook wasn't even my favourite safety at that point. I liked Kerby Joseph and he's turned into a helluva player it seems.

Yep, completely agree, he's so often just taken miles wide with huge lanes left open.

Nothing wrong with the pick, but if he wants the 20m I think O thought he'd command, then nah, thanks but no. Without the support of successful blitzing and lockdown CBs the total lack of consistent pressure from DE has become much harder to ignore.

Next year's FA there's Josh Sweat, Chase Young, even a guy like Derek Barnett is good and cheap. There's a few options worth looking at.

It's a solid pass rusher and tackle draft paired with a terrible QB draft. It should be considerably cheaper to trade up for an impact player at either position.
