Fox is the heart of the Lakers and their key defensive specialist. Now that he is out the Lakers are toast. I don't see them getting past the Spurs or even pushing the series to 6 games.

Spurs in 5.

I would love to see the Mavs win a 6 game series with the Kings, but if they win it ... I see a 7 game series. The Mavs will need that many simply b/c of the lack of a big man.

If the Mavs can win, I'd love to see an all-Texas Western Final.

I doubt the Mavs can pull it off though. That Portland series took a lot out of them.

If the Mavs beat the Lakers, I will cry.

Well, the only way the Mavs would play the lakers if for the Mavs to beat the Kings and the Lakers to beat the Spurs.

I don't see any way in hell the Mavs beat the Lakers, ever. Thankfully for them, they may not have to worry about it.

First Fox goes down and then George? That really sucks because we have nobody to play forward now. Kobe will have to play out of position now and that dramastically lowers the chances for a repeat. The look on Phil's face said it all when George didn't get up. This really sucks. :cuss: I see all the Lakerhaters are stoked.

Mile High Mania 05-06-2003 08:16 AM

Yes ... it's good to see the king fall.

Imon Yourside 05-06-2003 08:27 AM

although it's not even remotely over, i'll take the 3 time chumps to take a dump, then my beloved sactown kings can rule the NBA. woot woot!!!

Sometimes I think the Lakerhaters would be stoked if their plane just went down. It would be better for the game right?

Clown... although I'm thinking the Mavs will lose the series, the Mavs/Kings should be a truly GREAT series! I don't watch much basketball, but I love watching these two teams play.

Mile High Mania 05-06-2003 08:29 AM

BD ... don't get all pissy. I don't like 'bandwagon' teams - such as the old Bulls, the Cowboys, Lakers, Braves, Yankees.

And there is the difference between Laker fans and Queens fans. If you look throughout this thread I have always wanted to play a healthy Spurs team and a healthy Queens team so the Lake show would beat the best of the best. The Queens fans have wished for nothing short of the great plague to hit the Lake show so they don't get spanked once again. :spank:

The Mavs are great team to watch if you hate seeing any defense.

I am not pissy and this wasn't aimed at you as much as Queens fans in general. The other teams I like are the Chiefs, SF Giants NL, A's AL, Sharks so you really can't call me a bandwagoner either. I initially was a Bucks fan when I was a kid and loved watching big O and Kareem slice and dice. When they broke up the team and big O retired I just kind of followed Kareem over to the Lakers and have been a fan ever since.

Quit the whinning.

The Kings fans didn't use the excuse of the injury to Peja and Weber when they faced the Lakers last year. Its part of the game.

BIG_DADDY 05-06-2003 09:14 AM

CF,

It's whining not whinning, I would think you would know that being a Queens fan. I am not whining, injuries are a part of the game, no excuses. I was just pointing out how pathetic many Queens fans are, nothing else. I actually like many of the players on the Queens. It's queerbaits like Vladeflop that don't deserve a ring .

Chief Faithful 05-06-2003 09:36 AM

Thank you for the spelling lesson.

Quit "whining".

The Lakers have had a good three year run, but it is over. You no longer need to demean fans of other teams to build you own self-esteem. I'm sure Shaq will still be a malevolent as ever next year when Divac and the Kings are the champions giving you more reasons to live.
