R8RFAN 04-26-2012 07:08 PM

With the way the Chiefs pick, we don't need no stinkin first rounders

OnTheWarpath15 04-26-2012 07:08 PM

LMAO

Mayock says he has Ngata type athletic upside, and he had 3 different defensive coordinators at Memphis.

SPchief 04-26-2012 07:08 PM

Eagles traded up to 12, Why not trade back Scott?

The Franchise 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

Defensive Line? All first round picks. ****ing awesome.

I totally expect us to draft Kirk Cousins in the 2nd round now.

scho63 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

Trezelle Jenkins Part Duex

doomy3 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

Arizona is going to get Floyd. Floyd and Fitz is pretty ridiculous.

DTLB58 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

Crennel and Anthony Pleasant better start coaching and motivating ASAP!

Mecca 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

this looks like a pick where the d staff thinks they can make this guy.

Setsuna 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

I fully expected this to be opposite. Jags actually graded better in the 1st round in a loooong time.

Molitoth 04-26-2012 07:09 PM

F*coming stupid pick. Ugh

Tribal Warfare 04-26-2012 07:10 PM

Like I said in the beginning the NT position is one spot that Crennel won't **** around with.

Chiefnj2 04-26-2012 07:10 PM

God forbid KC give up 1st round picks for RGIII. Can't do that, they are too valuable. **** this franchise.

I'm off to watch the Devils.

bevischief 04-26-2012 07:10 PM

 This place is going to explode.

doomy3 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Well, I would say that this is another Tyson Jackson pick, but I don't think it is.

I think Poe has a really high ceiling. I also think he has a really low floor. This is either Ryan Sims, or a dominant NT. I don't really think there is any in between for him.

okcchief 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

God damn we are ****ing stupid.

Blick 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Cool with it if they can coach him up. Rare athletic freak at a position of need. Not bad.

Ming the Merciless 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Yay we get to wait for 2-3 years just to see if its possible that Poe can develop into an NFL player...excitement plus!

kstater 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

I can't believe Pioli hasn't addressed the most important piece of a 3-4 defense.

JohnnyHammersticks 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Pioli just hammered the final nail in his own coffin.

We could've had one of the best O-lines in football for years and years. . .

BryanBusby 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

**** dis team

More than half of our starting D are 1st round picks.

DeezNutz 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

If you think that KC can sacrifice the likes of Jackson and Poe to trade for an RGIII, you don't watch much football.

Dayze 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Based on his watch, he'll be a Simms

ChiefGator 04-26-2012 07:11 PM

Mayock still loves Poe

Frazod 04-26-2012 07:12 PM

NFLN guys like the Poe pick....

ChiefMojo 04-26-2012 07:12 PM

Romeo your job is on the line with the ability to coach up Poe!!! This is a big gamble with a huge upside but if he doesn't work... HUGE BUST!!!

ILChief 04-26-2012 07:12 PM

Mayock liked the Poe pick

I heard that. Mayock likes him quite a bit.

I don't know much about him so I will let others talk up or down on him.

SPchief 04-26-2012 07:12 PM

**** you Scott

He better be a ****ing pro bowler, Pioli. I'm tired of your shit

mnchiefsguy 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

Soren Petro likes the pick.

This pick seems like a massive reach to me.

Belechik's disciples (Dominik in TB and Pioli) both got schooled in this draft.

Dylan 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

LMAO Eagles take Cox

the Eagles have awful drafts

The Franchise 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

I would have rather seen us take Michael Floyd.

ILChief 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

Well nose tackle was the biggest need besides qb

Pablo 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

I'm fine with it.

Better Poe than a ****ing guard. We must have the highest paid DL in the league now.

SPchief 04-26-2012 07:13 PM

Hopefully Romeo can do some magic

Dylan 04-26-2012 07:14 PM

server slowing down

scho63 04-26-2012 07:14 PM

Eagles made a nice move and got a good player

ChiefGator 04-26-2012 07:14 PM

These hugs with Goodell are more uncomfotable than an Al Gore hug...

Papi 04-26-2012 07:14 PM

I just remembered Matt Cassel is our QB too. :( So depressing

Dayze 04-26-2012 07:14 PM

Well at least we are trying to get better on defense. Might as well try winning with fumBles and interceptions, because we sure as **** cant score on offense

Setsuna 04-26-2012 07:15 PM

AZ gets Floyd or Decastro.

R8RFAN 04-26-2012 07:15 PM

Good player but not at 11

Chiefnj2 04-26-2012 07:15 PM

KC got the 12th leading tackler at Memphis. You should be happy.

stonedstooge 04-26-2012 07:15 PM

Goddell trying to change his image in one night?

kcxiv 04-26-2012 07:16 PM

im ok with the pick, hopefully the kid likes to play football and puts a great effort into becoming a player. It was a huge need on our list.

Still though, Matt Cassel :(

alnorth 04-26-2012 07:16 PM

I freely admit that I don't know a lot about the NFL draft. I never am interested in it enough to become well informed about who is available.

Why is Poe not just a bad pick, but for many people, the one guy they least wanted to see drafted?

Petro would have liked any pick. He's pretty damn good, but he's an unapologetic Chiefs homer.

the Talking Can 04-26-2012 07:16 PM

we drafted a guy who couldn't dominate the YMCA league he played in....

4 years of matt cassell for this

if he doesn't produce this year, pioli should throw himself and matt off a cliff...

and hey look that one pats fan showed up just to suck pioli's cock...jesus he loves pioli's cock more than Cassel does..

I'd feel better about it if we had taken the Eagles 4th and 6th and taken him at 16. It's not like he wouldn't have been there.

Underachiever against weak competition. Workout monster.

I think they really needed someone to step up to stop the run on defense. Their defense was pretty porous at times. With their secondary, they need to get a better pass rush as well.

Hi 4.2 40 will help at NT.

WV 04-26-2012 07:17 PM

Not excited, but it was a position of need.

The Franchise 04-26-2012 07:18 PM

Jackson
Poe
Dorsey
Hali
DJ
Berry

Sannyasi 04-26-2012 07:18 PM

Comparing Poe to Jackson is pretty ****ing stupid. Well done to Pioli for finally filling by far the biggest position of need on our defense.

O.city 04-26-2012 07:18 PM

The way I look at this years first round for the Chiefs was that whoever we took was somewhat of a luxury pick. What was available there, we didn't really need.

So we took a flyer on a guy with huge huge upside and a low low floor.

If he works out, which he very well could, we could have the most athletic dominant NT/ DL in the NFL.

If he doesn't work out, we whiffed again.

R8RFAN 04-26-2012 07:18 PM

Well this tells me they are totally committed to Cassell atleast :)

Romeo and Anthony Pleasant will have to work their magic on Poe. He has talent though, can they motivate him to be the nose tackle we need though.
