I'd hope that the coach who was in Stephenson's face was saying something like, "I'm supposed to be chewing you out now; just go with it. Anyone who comes across that line at you needs to get ****ed up!" *helmet slap*

Is this an SEC trend? Nico Johnson says the plays are less complex and Tyler Bray says the speed is about the same in the NFL... I buy Nico. Everyone should flip a shit now for nico saying that...he is such a ****ing idiot. |

610 has been talking a lot about camp. Sounds like Kelce, Davis, Johnson, and Bray are doing very good.
|
Fisher is the highest profile name right now, obviously...But I think that (after attending camp in person) Kelce will be the biggest get from this year's class. Kid has some serious athletic skills. Another name to watch for that no one is mentioning, and maybe a dark horse candidate to make the roster is #65 Miguel Chavis. He's a DT and was working with the 2's. Guy is a monster (6'5", 285). I watched him beat Fisher twice and absolutely dominate in one on one pass pro drills. He was garnering a TON of coaching praise the entire practice.
|
Yeah, I'm starting to think Kelce might turn out to be real good. We're kind of stacked at TE. Moeaki is getting more reps than Fasano from what I've heard. Wonder if a team like NE would try to trade for him.

From tweets, I've gathered Fasano has been the better TE of the bunch. He catches everything thrown his way and is a pretty good blocker. Kelce is #2 then followed by Moeaki. But that's not coaches opinions that's the media so take it for what it's worth. Especially this early in camp.

Shut up and ask every other team fans what they think can happen if everything falls right. You'll find Chiefs fans very reasonable by comparison. |

JFC

Also, will you still be excited when the Chiefs perform as admirably as any of the Missouri Tiger teams or the Royals? Or will you go into rage mode like you do when they all come up short? Because the Chiefs will come up short. You know this, right? |

I do expect a competitive team that will place itself in the position that a few calls there way could generate a playoff appearance. NFL Football is such a year-year sport anymore with injuries and what not. Every season there are a couple teams that are expected to do real good that really suck and vice-versa due to injury or just not having it for that season. I think our offense will not be what it was under DV but it will be better than under Haley\Crennel by the same token I expect our defense to be better than under the past 3-4 regimes So basically out of the gate I see 8-8 with potential for 10-6 barring injury |
Pre season expectations are funny. Last year the Chiefs were division favorties.
|
Quote:
1. No more Cassel\Quinn 2. No more Romeo\Haley 3. No more Pioli 4. No more undersized O-line 5. No more read-react defense This team has talent though I agree they are not the most talented but nonetheless I see no reason to not be excited by this team this year. Our division should be rather weak so it isn't like we have to beat out the Patriots for a division win |

Only Mark Sanchez had a worse QB rating than Cassel, and probably would have been dead last if you project his numbers over more than 9 starts, when comparing his stats versus Sanchez who started 15. ... and people wanna argue that we have in Smith will just be a rerun of Cassel? Before his injury and replacing was Alex not I'm the top 10 of QBs? Yeah, he's probably not a top 10 guy, but the bar is already about as low as it ****ing can be to see an improvement from the QB position- and we all know QB play in the NFL has almost no ****ing impact on a teams success, right!!!!???? |

It's not okay if it's a trade to New England that already is a favorite son in the league -just the same as if it were Denver or Dallas or whoever has been in the spotlight in the last decade or so. Why? Because the deck is already stacked against Kansas City as it is. Dealing away pieces as is being discussed only serves to cement the status that the Chiefs (and, for the sake of the argument, the Royals) are nothing more than farm teams that only exist to harbor young and unpolished talent for successful teams to cash in on later. ****. That. Of course the NFL is different than baseball on almost every level. But that doesn't change people's perceptions. If the Chiefs start dealing players like Moeaki and Baldwin for draft picks to "elite" franchises then it implies they have no concerted drive to be contenders in the league and serve only as a proving ground for winning teams just to kick the can down the road and hope to contend with a roster of youthful prospects. And no, this is not an impassioned defense of either player in this scenario. Moeaki is exactly what we know he is in that he's a probably useful player with nagging injury concerns and Baldwin is an underachieving physical specimen. Trade both of them to Arizona for second rounders in the next two drafts. But the possible negatives of having either one of these guys become stars on an established franchise outweigh any positive that results from them being dealt. TL;DR trading them to a team like New England, Pittsburgh or Green Bay is as unadvisable as trading them to a team in the division. |
Fruit Ninja took the words right out of my mouth. Reading these posts like WTF is wrong with these people? I mean lord. History is trying to keep you grounded but yall just wanna float aimlessly till you come crashing down in fiery misery. Ridiculous.

Heard an interesting interview with Hali. Said that camp this year is "smarter", no one is just standing around, more team oriented rather than individual and that everyone on the defense now "has a bullet" and can take a shot

Picture of the QB's walking to practice, and another picture of the QB's warming up. Daniel doesn't appear to be with the other 3. Something up?

The tweets in the OP are pretty much the best thing ever.
Thank you |
Bukaty just said on the radio that Cyrus Gray, Mike Catapano, and Colin Kerry have been carted off of the field this morning.
Just saw in the OP twitter feed that these were all mentioned. Sorry for Q |
Yeah they are in the OP...but if you just wanna see how Bray has done:
Nick Jacobs@Jacobs717m Tyler Bray on the money to Josh Bellamy on the slant. Bellamy drops the ball. #Chiefs Nick Jacobs@Jacobs716m Pressure coming from Tyler Bray's left side. Stands tall in the pocket and checks down to Shaun Draughn for solid gain. #Chiefs Reid Ferrin@KCChiefs_Reid6m Time for threes, Bray is in, dump off to Draughn, then a later tuck and run Nick Jacobs@Jacobs715m Bray sees the pressure from left side. Adjust to hot route. Throws back shoulder for Jamar Newsome. Good adjustment by Newsome. Drops ball. Reid Ferrin@KCChiefs_Reid5m Bray to Josh Bellamy inside, then Tyler Shoemaker on the left, short gain Bray had made noticeable improvement in a short time. Not caught, but had a nice back shoulder throw. #Chiefs Nick Jacobs@Jacobs713m In the Redzone. Bray feels pressure to the left. Good job steeping up into the pocket. Throws a dart barely over throws Demetrius Harris. Nick Jacobs@Jacobs712m Next play, Bray throws a dart to Tyler Shoemaker in the end zone. Greg Castillo strips the ball. #Chiefs |
