That must have been hard for him to put us at 3.

That said the 2013 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ARE #3 in a power ranking written by a guy that hates our team.

GO CHIEFS!!!

KC's defense is better then Denver's defense. Denver's offense is better then KC's offense... The end.

Pretty much. And as of this point, your offense is better at playing offense than our defense is at playing defense, but our offense is better at playing offense than your defense is at playing defense.

It should be a great game. I'd love to see it flexed to SNF. The league would be smart to do so.

3rd ?

No way.

At best, 6th.

Reality about 8th.

We just have way to far to go on offense to be any higher.

Truth, but they can't really justify putting an undefeated team lower.

Yeah, I don't know if any other teams have really proven more at this point... Indy and Seattle, maybe, but that would be it.

MMXcalibur 10-08-2013 04:41 PM

For those poor souls who are going to get Jacksonville/Denver on their TVs this weekend, a reminder to do something else with your time. Not only will you be watching the Donks look like Super Bowl champions for the next 57 years by utterly demolishing the hapless Jaguars, but you'll also have to listen to Shannon Sharpe in the booth. This "game" will literally, be a Denver Bronco infomercial for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

You know that one chore your wife doesn't want you to do? May as well do that if this piss poor game is the only football option on your television.

TinyEvel 10-08-2013 07:54 PM

For us to beat Denver our offense doesn't have to be better than their offense.

Our DEFENSE has to be better than their OFFENSE.

And our offense just has to protect the ball and be somewhat productive, because they will surely burn us a couple of times in the passing game. We were one Dez Bryant sideline drop away from losing the Dallas game. That went our way. We can't count on Denver's receivers to make that mistake.
Still, adding in special teams, I like our chances. It will be a great game. Likely the #1 offense versus the #1 defense. Cobra versus mongoose.

Not sure I'd go that far. With Champ and Von, Denver's defense is top 7-8 in the NFL. They stop the run very well, and added pass rush means everything to pass defense.

Bailey isn't an elite cb anymore, but he's solid and lack of depth is what killed them against Dal with him out and Chris Harris gone from injury. Dal spread them out and used it to their advantage. And are you, Chiefs fans, going to really question what pass rush does for the secondary? Isn't this season testament to that?

He'll have a ramp up period most likely...

Mostly, though, Miller spent time getting himself in top physical condition. As Miller walked into the interview wearing a long-sleeve, white athletic shirt, dark sweat pants and his trademark eyeglasses, the immediate impression was he had been hitting the weight room. He's up to 262 pounds — he started his rookie season at 246 pounds — but he has lost 2 percent of body fat, which now measures at a sculpted 10 percent.

"I still move like a wildcat," Miller said. "I'm still quick. I'm still going to cover guys. I'm in the best shape of my life. Emotionally I'm in a very good place. Nutrition, I've stepped it up. Usually during the season you get away from it because everything is moving so fast."

The most important player to the Broncos' secondary is back. And nope, it's not Champ Bailey.

It's pass rusher Von Miller, who returns to practice this week.

"Hey, he's in the secondary with us," cornerback Chris Harris said of the group's honorary member. "The offensive game plans change totally different when 58 comes in."

"Just a dominating mind-set, he's unstoppable to me — and he says he's in better shape than he's been in his life," Moore said from the winning locker room. "It's going to be special, trust me. Remember, I told you that."

Indy is going destroy that secondary. And since Von and Champ will both be playing there will be no more excuses. Until some are invented of course. And Mathis is quietly tied for the league lead in sacks. He will destroy Manning.

This has the makings of everything that happened when Denver traveled to Dallas.... should be a high scoring game. Indy is ranked 5th in passing yards allowed per game which is impressive, but Denver brings the most potent offense they've seen, so given everything else related to this game - I think we're in for a stellar game.

Last team to score likely wins it in a a shootout.

Indy hasn't played many pass happy teams... they had the Raiders, Miami and the Jags with Gabbert. SF and SEA are potent offenses, but the Seahawks have the 24th rated passing game with the 49ers sitting at 30th.

So, maybe the Colts' passing defense is legit.. but, we'll know more after tonight with the Chargers playing the Colts, that should be a pretty decent test for that secondary.
