Thanks, Pesty!
CleveSteve, you seem nice. And a bit on the prissy bitch side. But still very nice. |
CleveSteve and O.City should go bowling.

I'm not sure how one gets balls deep into a root canal but I'm guessing my insurance wouldn't cover it.

Upper 1st and 2nd molar root canals, 2 hours total. It was interesting

Maybe I just run in the wrong circles for it. The process might freak me out too much to do it, but if society allowed for it and it was healthy, I'd consider filing my teeth into points like those tribesmen do. That's a good look. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/...17_468x312.jpg |
Dropping in to say my pick is coming but I can't post now. Stand by for a bit.
Not that you have a choice, I guess. |

The Miami Dolphins select Xavier Woods, S, Louisiana Tech.

This draft is so deep that I think we'll all be pretty surprised by how poorly we do when we compare each pick's value with the real draft.
Nearly every other pick we're making generates a "Wow, can't believe this guy was on the board for that long" reaction. When there's that much talent in thick tiers at several positions, we have no clue how NFL teams are going to interpret those values. You add some uncertainty here or there, and more than likely we could very well see all of these "steals" we're getting get drafted later than we think or even fall off the end of the draft entirely. There's going to be a ****ing insane pool of rookie free agents to choose from with a ton of really really good players in that pool. A lot of them are going to be guys we're picking right now. |

While we seem to dig deep into the depth of the draft, I think some players in positions that are thin will be over valued/drafted. |

What are the chances zombie Direckshun forgot to PM O.City?

I sent a PM to O just incase

NY giants select
Zach Banner OT USC |
The Oakland Raiders select Tanner Vallejo, LB, Boise State
Wouldn't be surprised if he goes later than this in the real draft, but I'm going to roll the dice and try to fill the Raiders need at LB. You have to go back to 2014 and 2015 to see it (played out of position in 2016), but this guy reminds me of Kiko Alonso. |

But if I were running the war room and didn't get him because I thought he'd be there in the 7th, I'd be pissed. So rather than game my 'score', I'm going to play it straight. Anything sooner than the 5th is too early for this guy but it's fair game from that point forward. I hate that Denver gave that pick to NE - I was all set with that choice. |

While we're waiting, let's present a football-related ad from our sponsors.

In the 5th round of the 2017 CP mock, The Kansas City Chiefs select Blair Brown, ILB, Ohio
2nd overall grade for an ILB by PFF next to Ruben Foster. #1 tackling grade on college football Ran a 4.65 40 at the combine and was the top performer at his position in the 20yard shuttle and vertical. Also had an impressive 124 inch broad jump and a 6.92 second 3 cone. 128 tackles, 15tfl and 4.5 sacks last year. I expect our coaches to help his development in coverage, as he seems to have the tools to be good in coverage and is already extremely good against the run. Only missed 3 tackles last year. Good value at a position of need for the Chiefs. |

Man I was totally counting on getting Brown at 192. This guy sheds blocks as well as anyone in the draft. Also has an insane SPARQ rating... best of all LBs this year.

You can also watch any of Terrell Basham's cut ups on draftbreakdown. Won't take long to see who this guy is.
|
Stupid PFF.
|
BWAHAHAHAHA
|
I still like my Vanderdoes pick, but that's probably the one I'd take back at this point and replace with Kittle. I just didn't think 3 TEs would go off the board by the Chiefs next pick and that I'd have at least one that I liked at the next pick. Oh well. Vanderdoes has stud potential so I'm good with it, but Kittle and Kelce would have been a damn good set of TEs for Andy's 2TE sets he loves so much.
|
Man this pick is getting crickets.
|
Didnt know much about the guy honestly, but after seeing that I'm a big fan.

Never heard of him, can't really criticize him because I've never seen him. But the video from Pest looks promising. Seems like a good pick...I guess. |
Quote:
I'm making the pick knowing we have good coaches to help him in coverage and help him reach his ceiling. |
The Bills are needing some depth in RT and was torn between two prospects. This one is a natural RT but still some concerns on long-term potential.
The Buffalo Bills select Erik Magnuson, OT, Michigan. |

Blair Brown is a nice pick. He was high up on my board, but he's not the defensive player I was thinking about with the Vikings' pick. It turns out that dude is still on the board, and if billay doesn't **** this up for me, I'll definitely be taking him for Pittsburgh
|
DJ said said it best about this draft there's so much pass rush talent in this draft you can find some steals in this draft. I think this kid could be good in a few years.
Samson Ebukam,OLB, Eastern Washington |
Pittsburgh selects Connor Harris, ILB, Lindenwood
Small school guy I've been watching who's a lot like Blair Brown with a bit more refinement when it comes to coverage. Only downside is he comes from Division II, but I don't think the transition will take as long for him. Division II players make it in the NFL every year. |

With the 174th pick in the NFL Draft
The Atlanta Falcons select Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois Limited to just my phone so someone PM the next dude. I'm intrigued by this kid. Had a good year under Lovie Smith. Great size for a pass rusher. Dude will be 25, so on one hand that suck but it also means he's fully developed and mature plus I get his prime years on a rookie contract. I could be way off but in the 5th round I'm a buyer on a dude with big upside. |
Quote:

Wait a minute. That guy just pm'ed me back and wants me to PM you that Carroll Phillips is already taken.
|
He just pm'ed me again and really wants to make his pick. So Hoover had better hurry.
|
This is rapidly turning into a full-blown incident.
|
Ahh shit didn't see that he had been picked.
|
"This is a good pick by Atlanta, but if they're going to pick a guy twice, I think they could have gotten more value by picking Myles Garrett again."

Cleveland's celebrity draft picker is bleary-eyed after waiting all night to make a grand entrance.

With the 174th pick in the NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Fred "The Boss" Ross, WR, Mississippi State.
Sorry for the delay. |
An elderly man enters the draft auditorium. He's wearing a robe and doesn't look like he got much sleep last night.

He shuffles to the stage, a cup of coffee in his hand.

"We talk of the great people of Cleveland," he says, "and we often focus on athletics. Jim Brown, Otto Graham, Lou Groza. But the true measure of greatness is when one gives one's life to service, as did my great-grandfather."
And with that, he unveils a life-sized poster of former president James A. Garfield. "This level of greatness is what we should strive for in Cleveland, not just football greatness. But my job here today is to bring football greatness, and that I shall do." http://media.cleveland.com/opinion_i...096615c407.jpg |
Find more youthful, energetic celebrity pickers.
These guys you've been sending up here take 30 minutes from start to finish. That's easily 27 more minutes than I have stamina for.... {realizes I was using my out loud voice for that last bit....blushes and runs out of the room} |
"First, let me use this public platform to protest the name 'Browns'. Paul Brown was a football coach. My great-grandfather was a Civil War general who led Union troops to victory in eastern Kentucky. He promoted the abolition of slavery and civil rights in the post-Civil War era. He fought corruption and raised the presence of the United States in foreign affairs. And of course, he gave his life when a madman shot him only months into his presidency.
"I call on you, football fans! Stand with me! This team should no longer be called the Cleveland Browns, bowing to the ego of a mere football coach, but should be the Cleveland Garfields, after the greatest man in Cleveland history! Who's with me? Applaud if you wish to support and compete with the Cleveland Garfields! "And now we shall make our pick. "With the 5-175 pick for the Cleveland Garfields in the 2017 NFL Annual Player Selection Process, United States President James A. Garfield and I are pleased to announce the selection of Aviante Collins, Offensive Tackle, TCU." |
