Well, Maybe we can beat Houston. It actually might be a fair match-up.

KCJake 09-19-2004 02:12 PM

maybe they don't want to see him hurt in a lost cause

good call

WilliamTheIrish 09-19-2004 02:12 PM

WTF was that? Let me get this straight. We don't run Priest on 4th on 1 in the first half, but we run Blaylock on 4th and 3 in the 4th quarter?

**** YOU DV!!!

**** YOU CARL!!!!

**** YOU MORTON!!!

dirk digler 09-19-2004 02:12 PM

What the fug kinda of call is that? Has the coaching staff lost it?

BigOlChiefsfan 09-19-2004 02:12 PM

Seems kind of impolite of some of our players to stand in the way of that young fellow from the opposing team. Of course, the rest are being mighty polite and getting out of his way.

Bob Dole 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

Ready for the 40 yard TD run and the Carolina franchise record?

We'll be lucky to go 8-8 but so will Denver.

KCJake 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

thank god we play houston next week

VonneMarie 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

Is Priests injury serious?

E@SHSU 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

Let's hope so. I'd hat to see Priest hurt.

Ultra Peanut 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

I'm going to say that sucked.

KCJohnny 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

Let's see, going back to last year, haven't the chiefs dropped 5 of their last 9? What the heck is going on here? What happened to the juggernaut?

Frazod 09-19-2004 02:13 PM

Well, all we can do now is root for the Jets and the Bills.

Like it matters.

:(

KCJake 09-19-2004 02:14 PM

hope not

dirk digler 09-19-2004 02:14 PM

I don't think this team has any pride. 175 yds to a backup RB is unexcusable.

Ultra Peanut 09-19-2004 02:14 PM

Let's fire DV and promote Gunther. He'll know what to do!

Not sure I'm ready to lose to an expansion team at home.

Trying that long FG looks REALLY stupid now. It turned the momentum and we never got it back.

The juggernaut has no wide receivers. We've been figured out. Eight in the box, stop Holmes, and we're done.

As much as I want to agree with you. Any team on any given Sunday can surprise you. But I would like Houston to get squashed in an attempt to kick-start this team.

This team hasn't had any pride on defense since James Hasty walked away.

The key play was the 4th and 1 decision in the 2nd quarter by DV.

digi2fish 09-19-2004 02:16 PM

Yes, Bob. Let's stack the line an dwatch Woods get juked out of his jock to end any remainging issue about the Arrowhead advantage.

But by golly, Lamar still has some extra mad money, and that's what's important.

THe key play was Priest's 8-mile-run that got called back thanks to Morton

go to the 49ers vs Saints game

dirk digler 09-19-2004 02:17 PM

We all know the D is bad but the Offense is the biggest problem right now.

cuz they faced bad teams when they won 9 in a row. and now they will not face anyone really bad, and there true colors are starting to show. truth is this a 6-10 8-8 at best. they just got lucky last year. i mean come on did anyone really think this is a 13 win team?

If we had that much >< defense we could probably get to 11-5 on the legs of Holmes. I think you're right. There is no perimeter game at all. And WHERE IS TONY "HOLLYWOOD" "i'M AS GOOD AS A WR" Gonzales?

No kidding. We don't have a WR that can get open, we have a QB that is forcing the ball into double coverage, we have tackles - on both sides of the line - that can't provide protection, and we have the Runningback of our dreams and they won't give him the ball.

SnapDogg 09-19-2004 02:21 PM

I don't know. The offense has looked awful two straight games. Really, really bad. We have no deep threats. Green is 0/2 in TDs to INTs. IMO, they've played worse than the defense. And that's saying something.

Fairplay 09-19-2004 02:21 PM

We went into the offseason knowing we had reciever problems.

PRiest Holmes should whoop everybody's ass in the locker room right now. And after Priest is done they should let every fan punch Johnny Morton in the face...And DV...ANd Peterson...and Chief of their choice. ANd you should get to hug Priest and remind him that we still love him.

arrowheadrocks 09-19-2004 02:25 PM

Now I know what its like to be a Raiders fan now.

Double hell. There were at least 2 instances where it was triple coverage.

Bob Dole wasn't a math major, But wouldn't that leave someone open?

2 pathetic performances in a row. Hope the boys in red are proud about now.

I'm willing to give props to the Panthers. EXCELLENT defense, SMART coaching. Great hitters. Resilient. Spirited. A TRUE SB team, defending NFC champs.

Still, shutting out the Chiefs for half a game? At Arrowhead? This is NOT a SB team, the Chiefs. I'm also surprised that the vertical game disappears when Kennison is out of the lineup. I don't blame Green. But something's wrong with this offense.

Terribilis 09-19-2004 02:32 PM

I have apologized for Morton for a long time...
After today sign me up for the 'Morton needs to go' club

I agree wholeheartedly. You cant expect the D to play well when they are on the field so damn much because TrINT cant get it together nor can the Deceivers.

With the schedule we have this year, if we don't start playing drastically better IMMEDIATELY, I don't think we'll even break 500, let alone make the playoffs or do anything in the playoffs.

I fear our window closed last year for this bunch.

Terribilis 09-19-2004 02:37 PM

I honestly dont think we are THAT awful...the problem is after going 13-3 and overachieving we are paying the price now with our schedule.
This schedule is near impossible to consistantly win games with. I think we will be very fortunate to go 8-8. Just think we now have to start stealing road wins to make up for this home loss :banghead:

I'm still hoping with max homervision that DV can pull them out of this slump. But yeah, going back to last year when the Chiefs dropped 3 of the last 6 and then lost at home to Indy, the feeling you got was that the window was closing. Its not too late, but something miraculous has to happen. Some amazing stud has to emerge at MLB and another at WR or the Chiefs are going to play this week's game over and over again this season. That makes KC 4-5 since the the big undefeated run last year. And it also means we won't be 8-0 at Arrowhead, which is usually required for the Chiefs to make a serious playoff run.

Seriously.

It is nice to have a civil conversation with you, Johnny. I'm glad you made it back okay.

mississippichiefan 09-19-2004 02:54 PM

We badly need all new wide recievers on offense and new linebackers on defense . We have the worst set of middle linebackers in the NFL . I don't think Barber is very good either . I really thought Fugita was going to be probowler but am not sure now . I haven't given up on him just yet though . Good to see you again KCJohnny. Have been wondering how you were doing .

Terribilis 09-19-2004 02:56 PM

Not really following sports anymore. Just the Chiefs. Too much emotional expense. I have changed since the war. Good to talk football with the old crew again, though.
