Yes...a 6 foot Frank Mason might have had more success on Hield (they list him at 5'11, but who are we kidding). He mostly did a good job forcing him off the line in the 2nd half/overtime, though.

Looks like the last 3OT KU game was February 4, 1981 against OSU.

Thought it was pretty Bush league by Goodman to claim "controversy" on Frank Masons steal. Bill Self is absolutely right, everybody gets as close to the line as possible once the ref gives the inbounding player the ball. The only time Frank touches Hielf is AFTER he already deflects the ball. Mason got clotheslined in OT or 2OT to the face, no call, then they call an over the back call on Lucas as he gets the rebound 1st and THEN gets tangled up with an OU guy. With the officiating in this game you would have expected it to be in Norman with Lon Kruegers cousins reffing or something. Jesus

Also made the 2 steals that won them the game in the last 30 seconds. The guy finds a way to make a big impact even when his shot isn't falling.

I found a pair for around $300 yesterday.

It wasn't quite as bad as a Big 12 road game (just wait for Huggins' WVU hacking on every possession next week while getting away with it), but it certainly didn't feel like we were playing at home with some of those calls. Still hard to believe that foul on the clean Mason strip of the ball to end the 1st half. Total anticipation call.

One thing is for certain, Buddy Hield is my new favorite non-KU player. Handled himself with class after the game and what a gritty performer. Hope he does well in the league next year, I'll be rooting for him.

That was one of the best I've ever seen in CBB. Awesome. Great win. And much respect for Buddy. What a great player. Great job by Mason for doing what he could guarding him. Dude's a bulldog. He gave his all. That shit made me tired I can only imagine how they feel.
