Look what we received for Peters- there is no way an aging safety is worth more than that.

A 2nd this year and 5th next year or the Seahags can go **** themselves.

The thing with the high picks is that he also needs a new contract. Normally, that's gonna lower the price.

So it's not happening in that scenario. They ****ed up. They can extend him now, which makes them look really ****ing dumb for letting it get this bad in the first place, or they can tag him at the end of the year, which pisses off Earl Thomas even more, or they let him walk for nothing at the end of the year and hope their FA signings don't negate the comp pick, which is the dumbest option here, or they take a trade for 50 cents on the dollar and be done with it.

If I'm Seattle I just extend the guy and do right by a franchise stalwart, but that should've been done a long time ago now.

That'd be a good approach to the trade, very professional and exec-like. They'd certainly do it if we went this route.

Has this safety done anything to damage his value?

Such as insisting he'll only sign in one location, or get into physical altercations with the coaches?

Peters screwed Kc while forcing his way out. He's not the norm.

I don't think they'll extend him at this point.

You guys realize he's not getting traded, right?

Well, he's spouting off publicly that he's going to half ass or completely skip practices and he's running to another teams locker room begging for them to trade for him. That won't help the cause.

I agree. Best thing for them to do is trade him and salvage what assets they can. 31 other teams know this.

I don't understand how they can ask for so much for a guy who is a fa next year and wants a big contract that they obviously dont want to give him.
