Because they are bloggers whose only requirement to have a "job" is to own a computer. Clayton has access that they will never have and Clayton has a sterling reputation around the league. He will always get more detailed information than the army of idiot bloggers out there.

It seems at the beginning of practice the Defense was told to play softer to give the Offense (Alex Smith) confidence in what they are asked to do.
