I thought so. I've heard that if those guys shut down, oil immediately spikes to over $200 a barrel. $10 gallons of gas would be right around the corner.

As I said earlier, even a revolt in the Kingdom could push crude to $140-$150 easily. If the flow actually stopped?

I don't even want to contemplate it.

Hell, I don't know. Bugeater said it, and it sounded cool.

Sounds like now is a good time to go buy a bicycle.

USA would get involved if the public protested in Saudi Arabia like they are doing in Libya and Cairo

I hopeful that this issue in Libya gets resolved (like in Egypt) and crude loses its present panic price factor, dropping back down to around $90 or lower.

But, all eyes should be on the Kingdom. They control 20% of the world's reserves and output about five times what Libya does a day.

From what I understand we don't get the bulk of our oil from there, most of it comes from Canada Mexico and Venezuela

Oh god, don't be "ride a bike instead" guy. That is not a feasible alternative to driving a car.

And do what? The market determines the price and the market is damn jumpy right now. ANY protests or even a THREAT to the Kingdom's production and exports would be a really bad thing.

They would bring in the military to prevent sabotage of the oil flow and try to prevent fires

I haven't looked recently, but Canada and Mexico used to be the top two import countries, followed by SA.

Regardless, crude is a globally-traded commodity. It would have a massive impact on what "we" pay at the pump.

I'm not sure about that.

They wouldn't let them blow up the wells man... They saved Kuwaits bacon, they will do the same for SA

Sad to say it but if the USA does not get involved, we may very well see 10.00 a gallon gas

I don't see why any revolt by the Saudi population would include them destroying by far their biggest source of wealth.

Retreating Iraqis set fire to Kuwait's production as a method of scorched earth.
