They'd have the compensation done before they talked contract.

You'd pretty much have to before the team allowed you to talk contract with his agent I'd think .

He’s just taking what Terez and other have said and twisting it as his IMO

Well he originally said the 1st/3rd thing last night and then Terez said this morning that the Chiefs want the price to come down. So it’s not a copy I don’t believe.

Don't show up to the game Earl

They can give them permission to talk contracts ahead of time, that way as soon as a trade is agreed to then it’s just done right there.

Seattle might allow it as a bit of leverage. "Oh, you've worked an extension out? Great. Pay our price."

pugsnotdrugs19 09-26-2018 03:03 PM

I’d give up the 1st all day at this point. Especially with the Rams losing Talib.

That was maybe their biggest SB competition and they lost a critical piece. Go get Thomas and make the gap even larger, or closer, however you may see it between the Chiefs and Rams.

Exactly.

A lot more tempting to take their deal when you’re literally a “deal” away from having the best free safety in the league for a 4-5 year contract.

Terez said it yesterday that they want it to come down

Get it done. Get it done.

Get it done.

Flipside, though, is if the trade doesn't go through ultimately Seattle is left with a seething extensionless Thomas.
