yeah see, I bet once you peel off a few more, you'll have the perfect runners' frame, long torso included, I see that being a realistic time for you. Around 8.5 minute miles.

I'm excited to improve. My 5k time was the best I'd ever done once the official results came out. When I ran today I ran 3.25 miles at 11:30 a mile. I'm just looking forward to cracking 10 minutes right now.

I think I'm done with my distance training for a while. I'll continue running 5 miles once a week to maintain what I've gained, but I'm going to focus on improving my time. I know that as I lose weight that will make it easier, but I know I can run faster no matter what I weigh.

LMAO 5'2.

I'm a weirdo. I've always preferred my girls in the 5'0-5'2 range and about 110lbs. My wife was 98lbs when I met her. I had to fatten her up. I went a little far, but she did a good job of finding a happy medium. She's about 130 now, but honestly we're at the point where she could weigh 230 and I wouldn't care. I'm lucky to have her.

There's something weird in human dynamics that goes on there (besides the obvious sexual positions). I can't tell you how many times I've seen NFL linemen and other huge dudes with short, petite chicks.

I wouldn't exactly say it's weird that a guy prefers a petite woman. Most men I've met do.

I don't mean to contradict the board expert on all things fitness related. However, the fact that protein shakes are quickly dissolved helps in the morning when your body is protein deficient, and after working out.

Helps what? Again, your body isn't secretly cannibalizing muscle if you don't have a protein shake first thing in the morning or don't drink one immediately after a workout. As long as you're still weight training, the muscle will still be there.

The body works on a longer continuum than just overnight or one or two hours.

Yeah, there's a ton of them out there that are really good. The Costco brand isn't half bad, either.

Leg day kinda sucked. Didn't lift as much weight as last week. Maybe that means I won't be sore for my game on Friday, though. Here's hoping!

Mr. Flopnuts 04-28-2010 04:23 PM

I had my shittiest day at the gym this month. Ran a 10 minute mile and went dead. Couldn't lift for shit. Couldn't run afterward. Had to bang out some incline walking on the treadmill to get anything done at all.

Oh well, tomorrow will be better.

Silock 04-28-2010 04:25 PM

We all have those days. I had one today.

Hammock Parties 04-28-2010 04:27 PM

I think the universe transferred your chi to me, because I had a ****ing kickass workout today. I was ****ing he-man.
