Creates more of a "meet in the middle" solution, which ends up being better for everyone... |

I think the 1st round pick is a great deal for both teams.
Odds are they don’t get another Earl Thomas, better odds are that the player they get will suck... but he’s 29 and needs paid. Gotta give a little bit. |

Get it done Veach |
They'd never let it get to contract terms before the teams were good on terms of the trade.
The Chiefs could **** them over by saying they'd give him some huge crazy deal then not go thru with the trade. Good luck to Seattle ever getting the deal done if Thomas thinks whatever else is out there. |

And yeah, I'd say with the talk of the Chiefs wanting the price to come down, it won't be for a first rounder.
And I've come around on this more so today. He can play for 3 or 4 more years at a high level hopefully. That's worth it. |

KC may just be playing games right now, wanting to see if Seattle will budge.
But make no mistake, they should not let their pride get in the way of giving up that 1st round choice. We saw the names that have been picked in the late 1st round over the past several years. The vast majority of those guys turn out to not only be worse than ET, but to suck altogether. |

Cause that’d be just as dumb as saying that they think they’ll blow the pick. But one is much more likely than the other, and we all know which one. |
