The galaxy-brain “rigged” take would be to say that “all the money is on the (team making the comeback) to cover” (you can claim “all the money” is wherever you like) and that the refs “pushed” the game toward it, the Jags just took care of the rest. And if the refs didn’t do anything to change the outcome you just claim the other team was in on it and took their foot off the gas or similar.

Yeah, if the NFL scripted last night, they do a helluva job.... I'm especially impressed with how Bosa can get his arm up on a pass and deflect it perfectly to his teammate (I think it was Bosa), I'm sure just how script writers wrote it up this past week.

And then you have the Jags committing penalties to extend Chargers drives, just to drive home how believable it looks.

Bravo.

Imagine getting to the SB only having to beat the Dolphins and Jags.

I'm so torn on this because I always want to see best vs best... I wait all freakin' season for this and want the Bills/Bengals and the winner to play the Chiefs. Hell, I'd much rather see the Chargers next week for the same reason.

That said.... the road to Super Bowl victories aren't often paved through the toughest road possible. Luck matters, and just the fortune of not playing both the Bills and Bengals is huge, much less the Chargers on top of that (granted, I'm not terrified of the Chargers, but think it would have been more interesting at least).

And it's not like I'm going to enjoy Chiefs victories any less if it's against the Ravens or Dolphins or Bengals or Bills.

The hype buildup for Cincy vs. Bills is too good for the NFL to pass up, though. Baltimore will need to beat Cincy and the officials. Certainly possible, but not likely.

Why isn't Bridgewater starting? Has he really fallen off that badly to play backup to Thompson?

He either broke or dislocated a finger on his throwing hand, I believe.

Probably can't grip the ball well.

Pinky, I think I heard

Okay, checks out. So he's effectively break glass in case of emergency then if Thompson gets badly hurt.

Dreading this Bills game. Will be unbearable with the Hamlin saturation, and the Dolphins have no chance whatsoever. May need to make a drink before this thing kicks off.

I think Baltimore will give them a game, but I don't see them winning. I think the AFC games are pretty well set for next weekend. The Bills will roll.

He was saved on the field only temporarily. Further from the Bills the safer he got

Do not care about beating the best teams. Go Dolphins and Ravens.

I love Staley. He is a great coach.

How many coaches has the AFCW had since Andy was hired?

They need to keep him. Good guy and a leader. Plus he did bring them to the playoffs.

:D

Hey, how long are you going to keep that weepy ass avatar? Pretty sure all prayers have been answered at this point. Also pretty sure we'll see that shit enough elsewhere today.

It's so prevalent now. I mean before it was just the Chiefs, now it's any team that the Chiefs want to win...is getting screwed by the refs in a scripted game. Just wait, it'll make an appearance in this one too. Give this thread like an hour or so. Max.

Jesus, Fins LT just activated off the practice squad? I knew it was bad, but damn.....
