I don't know why this has to be explained, but when you have a huge lead you don't really want to throw long passes. You see, long passes are low percentage plays, only about 25% completion rate. That means a 75% chance of stopping the clock. Why would you want to do that? With Charles out the running game wasn't doing so well, so short high percentage passes were the smart thing to do. |
