Well I've changed my stance and can say I hope we trade him for a 1st rounder or a WR.
Since Mahomes has taken over as starter whenever the D allows 30 or less points we are 67-9 (includes playoffs and Lions game . That's a 88% winning percentage! We'd have to have one of the like top 5 worst defenses of all time to regularly allow that many points. We will be fine without him and could use any draft picks we get for him to move up for a WR. |

I would rather have my girlfriend cheat on me than see Chris Jones betray the team and sit out like this. I’m a fan and an idiot. :banghead:

Having already lost week 1 due in large part to his holdout, if he still bends us over and rapes us, I’m going to be really ****ing pissed. |

Jones never had leverage here he can only lose this way. He was already under contract. He will lose 12 million plus and will have gained nothing from it. Chiefs aren't going to blink. Best case for him is he misses out on 12 million plus dollars not to mention any incentives. He plays 6 games this year and gets tagged and traded and signing a deal similaror likely less than the chiefs offered. Losing millions in the process. Again criminally dumb decision. Sad deal really because he us destroying his image too. Sent from my SM-F711U1 using Tapatalk |

As much as I've disliked the Chris Jones theatrics, the thought of him getting in game shape and joining what already looks like a nasty defense sounds sexy.

Perhaps a Sports book is backing this & his agents end up in prison
- I guess this is wrong |
I like Chris Jones. I think his representation has lead him astray with bad advice.
That said, after watching last week's performance by our defense against one of the league's better offensive units, this team has much bigger problems than Jones. Namely guys who can get open at WR. Some of this is scheme and guys not having much time on the field together to develop proper spacing, etc. Some of it is just derived from the fact that Veach and co. seem to be okay with a bargain bin WR corps and they're limited by their talent. I would love to see CJ shipped for a player + picks package that would send a quality WR back to KC. |
